For the second consecutive year, DL John Simon is on the watch list for the Lott Trophy. Simon, a returning third-team AP All-American and All-Big Ten player, was a semifinalist in 2011. Simon, a senior, is one of seven players who were on last year's list for the defensive impact player of the year award.
