Draft Scouting Report
Carson Vinson is a massive small-school offensive tackle with elite size, immense length and a frame that could support even more weight. He consistently overpowered opponents with natural strength and tools, though his demeanor could use more edge. In pass protection, he shows smooth movement from his stance and solid footwork, but struggles at times with bend, hand placement and handling inside moves. His length and power flash when he engages low, though pad level varies. As a run blocker, Vinson moves well and flashes impact at the second level, but leans too often and needs refinement. With coaching and added strength, he offers high-upside tackle potential.

Ravens' Carson Vinson: Picked up by Ravens in fifth round
The Ravens selected Vinson in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 141st overall.
Vinson started for five years at FCS Alabama A&M, all at left tackle, and he earned Second Team All-American honors as a senior in 2024. He doesn't have a ton of tape against high-level college competition and has struggled a bit as a run blocker, but he tested well at the combine. Vinson is likely a project who will provide some depth on the exterior of the line, but he possesses the physical traits to stick at tackle if he develops.
