    Stars' Ben Kraws: Inks one-year contract

    Kraws signed a one-year, two-way contract with Dallas on Tuesday.

    Kraws spent most of the 2024-25 regular season with ECHL Idaho, posting a 23-12-5 record with a 2.88 GAA and a .910 save percentage across 40 appearances. The 24-year-old netminder doesn't have any NHL experience and will likely spend most, if not all, of the 2025-26 campaign in the minors.

  • Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Set to start in Game 6

    Skinner is expected to start on the road against Florida in Game 6 on Tuesday, per Stephen Whyno of the Associated Press.

    Skinner has allowed at least three goals in each of his past five appearances while posting an .855 save percentage across that span. Calvin Pickard stepped in for Game 5, but the netminder stopped just 14 of 18 shots en route to a 5-2 loss, which presumably influenced Edmonton's decision to go back to Skinner. The Oilers need to win Tuesday to force a Game 7 on Friday.

    Penguins' Joona Koppanen: Inks two-way deal

    Koppanen signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Penguins on Tuesday, according to Seth Rorabaugh of Tribune-Review Sports.

    Koppanen had a goal in 11 appearances with Pittsburgh in 2024-25. He also recorded eight goals and 23 points across 56 regular-season outings with AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. The 27-year-old will probably start next season in the minors.

  • Kings' Pheonix Copley: Inks one-year deal

    Copley signed a one-year, $775,000 contract with the Kings on Monday.

    Copley spent most of the 2024-25 regular season with AHL Ontario, posting a 24-17-1 record with a 2.49 GAA and a .904 save percentage across 42 appearances. With David Rittich eligible for unrestricted free agency in July, Copley could compete for the Kings' backup role behind Darcy Kuemper at training camp ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

  • Maple Leafs' Roni Hirvonen: Signs with Finnish team

    Hirvonen signed a one-year contract with Karpat of Finland's Liiga on Monday.

    Hirvonen, a pending restricted free agent, had 10 goals and 21 points in 59 regular-season appearances with AHL Toronto in 2024-25 before adding one assist in one playoff outing. The 23-year-old forward was selected by the Maple Leafs with the 59th overall pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. Toronto can retain his rights by issuing him a qualifying offer, but the two sides could decide to part ways this summer. Hirvonen has spent the last two regular seasons in the AHL and doesn't have any NHL experience yet.

  • Oilers' Darnell Nurse: Manages helper in loss

    Nurse posted an assist in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Panthers in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

    Nurse has three points over the last two games after going seven contests without getting on the scoresheet. The 30-year-old defenseman had a hand in Corey Perry's third-period tally Saturday. Nurse is up to eight points, 42 shots on net, 56 hits, 42 blocked shots, 31 PIM and a plus-4 rating over 21 outings this playoffs in a top-four role.

  • Oilers' Mattias Ekholm: Adds helper in loss

    Ekholm notched an assist, four shots on goal, two blocked shots and a minus-3 rating in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Panthers in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

    Ekholm has racked up four assists over the last three games, though he has a minus-2 rating in that span. The 35-year-old helped out on a Connor McDavid tally in the third period. Ekholm is up to one goal, five assists, 13 shots on net, 13 blocked shots, 14 PIM and a plus-2 rating over six appearances this postseason while featuring in a top-four role.

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Puts up assist Saturday

    Bouchard notched an assist, three shots on goal and three blocked shots in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Panthers in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

    Bouchard had been held off the scoresheet for the first time in the series in Game 4. He has a goal and five helpers over five contests versus the Panthers as he continues to make a substantial impact on offense. The defenseman's had a strong postseason with 23 points, 67 shots on net, 33 blocked shots and a plus-10 rating across 21 appearances.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Records helper in loss

    Draisaitl logged an assist, two shots on goal, two PIM and a minus-2 rating in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Panthers in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

    Draisaitl set up Corey Perry's tally late in the third period, which briefly cut the Oilers' deficit to 4-2. The 29-year-old Draisaitl has four goals and four assists over eight games in the series. Overall, he's produced 11 goals, 22 helpers, 56 shots on net, 29 hits and a plus-8 rating over 21 outings this playoffs. With the Oilers' season on the line in Game 6 on Tuesday, Draisaitl may see more shifts alongside Connor McDavid to spark the team's offense.

    Oilers' Corey Perry: Scores in Game 5 loss

    Perry scored a goal on three shots, added two hits and went minus-2 in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Panthers in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

    Perry has scored five times and added two assists over his last seven games. He brought the Oilers within two goals late in the third period, but that was where their comeback effort ended. Perry is up to 10 goals, four assists, 38 shots on net, 33 hits, 12 PIM and a plus-2 rating over 21 playoff appearances.
