Flyers' Tyson Foerster: Nets first NHL playoff goal

Foerster scored a goal in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to Carolina in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Second Round.

It was his first career NHL playoff goal (10 games). Foerster and the Flyers scored just five goals in the four-game sweep by the Canes. This postseason was a valuable experience for the inexperienced orange and black. Watch for the pride of Alliston, Ontario to be healthy and ready to take his goal scoring to the next level in 2026-27. Foerster had 13 in just 29 games in 2025-26, but 25 in 81 the year before.

  • Dan Vladar G | PHI

Flyers' Dan Vladar: Ends season in impressive fashion

Vladar made 37 saves Saturday in a 3-2 overtime loss to Carolina in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference second round.

Vladar was the game's third star -- he was absolutely pelted with pucks. Yes, the Canes swept the Flyers in four, but not because of Vladar -- his mates managed only five goals in those four games. The 2025-26 campaign was the season of Vladar. The former member of the Flames went 29-14-7 with a 2.42 GAA and .906 save percentage in 51 starts this past regular season, and a 4-6 playoff record with an amazing 2.18 GAA and .922 save percentage. Vladar has been a solid fit to backstop head coach Rick Tocchet's aggressive style. He's going to be a target on draft day next year.

  • Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Perfect run continues

Andersen made 15 saves in a 3-2 overtime win over the Flyers on Saturday in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference second round.

Andersen is a perfect 8-0 this postseason. He leads all tendies in GAA (1.12) and save percentage (.950). The Great Dane has been exceptional this postseason, and he gets a much deserved rest until the Eastern Conference Finals against either the Canadiens or Sabres.

  • Sebastian Aho LW | CAR

Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Offensive woes continue

Aho was held off the score sheet in a 3-2 overtime win over Philadelphia on Saturday in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Second Round.

Aho's Canes are a perfect 8-0 this postseason, and they now await the winner from the Buffalo-Montreal series to face in the Eastern Conference Final. But Aho has struggled under heavy checking, and he has just four playoff points (three goals, one assist). Two of his goals were empty netters. Aho will break through at some point -- his talent won't be denied forever. He has 89 points, including 37 goals, in 97 postseason contests since 2018-19.

  • Avalanche's Tristen Nielsen: Scores two goals in AHL win

Nielsen scored twice in AHL Colorado's 6-2 win over Henderson in Game 4 on Saturday.

Nielsen was a beast in this postseason series, earning four goals and an assist over four games as the Eagles knocked out the Silver Knights. Nielsen is up to seven points, 22 shots on net and a plus-5 rating through six playoff outings. He'll get to continue playing with the Eagles as they move into the Pacific Division Finals.

  • Hurricanes' K'Andre Miller: Among top scorers from blue line

Miller picked up an assist in a 3-2 overtime win against the Flyers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Second Round.

It extended Miller's point streak to three games and three helpers, and he has quietly put up six helpers so far as the Canes have gone a perfect 8-0 this postseason. Miller came off a 37-point regular season, his first with Carolina. He sits in a five-way tie for seventh in playoff scoring from the blue line, and he leads all Carolina defenders in scoring by a wide margin. Jalen Chatfield and Mike Reilly sit second in that category with two points each.

  • Owen Beck C | MON

Canadiens' Owen Beck: Pots pair in AHL loss

Beck scored twice in AHL Laval's 3-2 loss to Toronto in Game 5 on Saturday.

With the loss, Laval is out of the postseason. Beck produced three goals, two assists and nine shots on net over five playoff outings. He and a host of other Laval players could soon be on their way to the NHL as Black Aces for the rest of the Canadiens' postseason run.

  • Hurricanes' Logan Stankoven: Leads league in postseason goals

Stankoven scored a goal in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Flyers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Second Round. The Hurricanes swept the Flyers to advance to the Eastern Conference Final.

It was his league-leading seventh of the postseason. The Canes have gone a perfect 8-0 so far on the backs on elite offensive from second liners Stankoven, Jackson Blake and Taylor Hall. This trio has tremendous chemistry, and they will be a formidable group -- especially Stankoven and Blake -- at draft tables in 2026-27.

  • Taylor Hall LW | CAR

Hurricanes' Taylor Hall: Postseason dominance continues

Hall put up three assists Saturday in a 3-2 overtime win over Philadelphia in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Second Round.

Hall's postseason dominance has been eye-opening. He leads the Canes in scoring with three goals and eight assists in eight games, and he's second in the NHL in scoring, one point behind Mitch Marner who has 13. Hall hasn't been this dominant in a postseason run since his junior days when he won the Memorial Cup MVP trophy in back-to-back years (2009, 2010). With the win, the Canes swept the Flyers in four games to advance to the Eastern Conference Final against either Montreal or Buffalo. They are a perfect 8-0 in the playoffs.

  • Jackson Blake RW | CAR

Hurricanes' Jackson Blake: Another big impact game

Blake scored two goals and added an assist in a 3-2 overtime win over the Flyers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference second round Saturday. The Hurricanes advance to the Eastern Conference Finals with a 4-0 sweep.

Blake scored the winner at 5:31 of overtime. His wrist shot bounced off Dan Vladar's glove and trickled over the goal line. Blake was a scoring machine against the Flyers, putting up three goals, four assists and 10 shots. He sits second in team scoring this postseason with four goals and seven assists in eight games. This scoring outburst isn't really a surprise -- Blake's game took a massive jump this season on the team's second line, and he finished the regular season with 22 goals, 31 assists and 174 shots in 81 games. He and linemates Taylor Hall (12 points) and Logan Stankoven (eight points) lead the Canes in scoring this postseason.
