The men completed their golf tournament, and now it's the women's turn to determine three medal winners at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The United States' Nelly Korda stands as the reigning gold medalist, and she'll have to defeat 59 other women from 33 countries if she wants to defend that hardware this week at Le Golf National.
The action will again begin early at 3 a.m. ET in each round, but the tournament has been moved up a day for the women to fit it all in before the closing ceremonies in Paris on Sunday. After big crowds for the men's event last week, tournament organizers are doing everything they can to build on what was a wonderful Olympics experience for the players and the fans.
Instead of using the up tees on the first hole, the back tees will be used to help with the stadium-like atmosphere the men experienced during their tournament.
Officials @OlympicGolf told us today and as reported by @RexHoggardGC on GC - the 1st tee of the Women’s Competition will be moved back to the same tee as the Men -providing a stadium environment seen for the opening tee shot last week. The original plan was to use a forward tee.

"Very motivating to be here to be able to share the experience with all the French athletes, the French crowd," said Celine Boutier, a French golfer and major championship winner. "Definitely something you don't get to do every day and every year. So, it's very motivating looking forward to getting to experience the tournament here."
After a thrilling men's competition, the women's is one to look forward to in this second week of the Olympic Games. CBS Sports will have round-by-round updates at the end of each day as Korda tries to make history and 59 of the other best women in the world attempt to keep her from doing so.
