  • Red Sox's Trevor Story: Swats home run

Story went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's win over the Rays. Story took Ryan Pepiot deep to left field in the sixth to give the Red Sox some insurance. He's now posted multiple hits in four straight games, including two homers and eight RBI. In June, he's slashing .343/.395/.571, and his 11 RBI this month lead the American League.

  • Red Sox's Trevor Story: Logs multiple hits in loss

Story went 2-for-6 with an RBI in Monday's 10-8 extra-innings loss to Tampa Bay. Story's bat continued to show life, as he logged a third consecutive multi-hit game. His revival started in the final two games of the Yankees' series, and the shortstop has gone 7-for-15 with a home run, a double and three RBI over that stretch. His season average is up to .229, its highest point since May 20.

  • Red Sox's Trevor Story: Another excellent game

Story went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during Sunday's 11-7 win over the Yankees. Story and Abraham Toro hit back-to-back homers in the eighth frame, marking the shortstop's eighth long ball of the campaign. Story ends the three-game set against the Yankees batting 5-for-13 with three runs scored, a double and six RBI. He's logged three multi-hit games in June after accomplishing the feat just once in May.

  • Red Sox's Trevor Story: Plates five runs Saturday

Story went 3-for-5 with a double, a run and five RBI in a 10-7 win against the Yankees on Saturday. Story produced a bases-clearing double in the third inning, and he added a pair of insurance runs with a single in the ninth. The five RBI marked a season high for the veteran shortstop and equaled the number of runs he had plated over his previous 15 games combined. This was also Story's first three-hit performance since April 21, and he's still slashing a modest .222/.268/.331 on the season.

  • Red Sox's Trevor Story: Taking seat in series finale

Story is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Angels. Story went 1-for-8 with four strikeouts in the first two games of the series and will get some rest for Wednesday's finale. David Hamilton will start at shortstop and bat eighth as the Red Sox try to avoid the sweep.

  • Red Sox's Trevor Story: Powers offense in win

Story went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI in Sunday's 3-1 win over Atlanta. Story's first-inning, bases-clearing double was inches away from being a home run. He nearly had a home run in each game of the weekend series in Atlanta. Story homered Friday and was robbed by Michael Harris on Saturday prior to Sunday's close call. Those are encouraging signs for Story, who entered the series with a .581 OPS over 54 games.

  • Red Sox's Trevor Story: Snaps homerless drought

Story went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 5-1 win over Atlanta. Friday's homer snapped a 15-game drought and was just his second long ball over the last 34 games. He was productive through the first three weeks of the season, but the expected impact of a healthy Story's bat hasn't played out overall. He's batting .219 with a .593 OPS and 23 RBI over 55 games this season.

  • Red Sox's Trevor Story: Bowing out of starting nine

Story is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles. Story will get a breather after he started both legs of Saturday's doubleheader, going hitless with two strikeouts over six at-bats. He's 14-for-111 (.126) with just two extra-base hits over the last 28 games. David Hamilton will spell Story at shortstop.

  • Red Sox's Trevor Story: Pilfers ninth bag

Story went 1-for-4 with a steal and one RBI in Monday's 3-1 victory over the Mets. The Boston shortstop swiped second base off New York starter Kodai Senga after reaching on an infield single in the opening frame. The steal snapped an ice cold eight-game stretch without one during which Story slashed an anemic .125/.176/.219 across 34 plate appearances. Given that Story has struggled to a .129 batting average (12-for-93) over his last 23 games, the Red Sox may soon be tempted to promote Marcelo Mayer, who is slashing .264/.335/.459 in 179 plate appearances at Triple-A Worcester.

  • Red Sox's Trevor Story: Sitting amid slump

Story is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Tigers. Story had started seven games in a row and 40 of 43 games he was available for, but he is hitting .122 with a 35 percent strikeout rate over his last 18 games. David Hamilton, who is batting .180 this year, is starting at shortstop and batting eighth.

  • Red Sox's Trevor Story: Smacks three-run home run

Story went 1-for-5 with a three-run homer in Saturday's 10-1 win over the Royals. Story -- who entered Saturday's game having gone 7-for-62 (.113) over his last 15 games -- gave the Red Sox a 7-1 lead in the seventh inning, when he took Angel Zerpa deep to left-center field for a three-run home run. It was Story's sixth home run of the season and first since April 18 against the White Sox. Story batted fifth Saturday and has primarily hit there this season, though his recent struggles at the plate resulted in him hitting out of the No. 6 hole for most of the week.

  • Red Sox's Trevor Story: Drops to sixth in order

Story batted sixth and went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in Tuesday's 6-1 loss to the Rangers. Story had mostly batted fifth this season and had a stretch as the cleanup hitter, but the shortstop has had a rough go of it of late. After Tuesday's 0-fer, he's hitting .120 (6-for-50) with a .305 OPS, one RBI and 19 strikeouts (35.2 strikeout percentage) over the last 12 contests. Prior to that, Story had an 18-game stretch during which he posted a .378 average and 1.011 OPS.

  • Red Sox's Trevor Story: Receiving afternoon off

Story is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins. David Hamilton will step in at shortstop while Story heads to the bench for the first time since April 20 in what appears to be a routine maintenance day. While starting in each of Boston's last 12 games, Story went just 9-for-50 at the dish, dropping his season-long batting average from .318 to .267.

  • Red Sox's Trevor Story: Collects trio of hits

Story went 3-for-4 with a run scored and one RBI in Monday's 4-2 victory over the White Sox. After receiving a breather Sunday, Story returned in this early Patriots' Day tilt and produced his fourth three-hit game of the season. The 32-year-old shortstop has been electric of late, batting .439 (18-for-41) with three home runs, 11 RBI and five runs scored over his last 10 games. Overall, Story is slashing .337/.366/.528 with five homers, six steals, 15 RBI and 11 runs scored in 93 plate appearances.

  • Red Sox's Trevor Story: Not in starting nine Sunday

Story isn't starting Sunday's game against the White Sox, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports. It's a routine day off for Story, as manager Alex Cora gave the veteran shortstop the option of sitting either Sunday or Monday, per Smith. Story has been on a heater of late, batting .405 with three home runs, 10 RBI and four stolen bases over his past nine games. The Red Sox are starting David Hamilton at shortstop in Story's place Sunday.

  • Red Sox's Trevor Story: Posts 20th career multi-homer game

Story went 3-for-4 with a pair of three-run home runs and an additional run scored in Friday's win over the White Sox. It was the 20th career multi-homer game by Story, who first went yard in the first inning to get Boston on the board. He later got the rout fully underway with his second three-run jack, giving the Red Sox a 9-2 lead in the seventh inning. Although the oft-injured shortstop went just 2-for-15 in March, Story is batting .364 with five long balls, 14 RBI, eight runs scored and four stolen bases across 66 at-bats in the month of April and should be rostered in virtually all fantasy leagues at this point.

  • Red Sox's Trevor Story: Swats third homer

Story went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double and three RBI in Sunday's win over the White Sox. Story opened the game's scoring with a two-run double in the sixth inning and tacked on an insurance run with his solo shot in the ninth. He had just one extra-base hit in eight games since his last home run April 4. The veteran shortstop looks more like his vintage self with a strong .308/.328/.477 slash line through 67 plate appearances.

  • Red Sox's Trevor Story: Steals another base

Story went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the White Sox. Story is off and running to start the 2025 season and is up to six stolen bases through 16 games. He's stolen at least one bag in three consecutive games. Of course, the Red Sox expect more than a .695 OPS (three extra-base hits) from the veteran shortstop, but the steals are helpful to fantasy managers.

  • Red Sox's Trevor Story: Swipes two bags, walks it off

Story went 2-for-5 with an RBI and two stolen bases in Thursday's 4-3 extra-inning victory over the Blue Jays. After stealing two bases earlier in the outing, Story grounded out with the bases loaded to bring home the winning run in the ninth inning and walk it off for the Red Sox. The oft-injured shortstop went just 2-for-15 to open the season, but Story is picking it up in April, batting .316 with two home runs, one double and five RBI over 38 at-bats this month.

  • Red Sox's Trevor Story: Homers in home opener

Story went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Friday's 13-9 win over the Cardinals. Story got Fenway Park rocking in Boston's home opener with a three-run blast in the first inning. It was his second homer in the last three games. Healthy again after three injury-plagued seasons, Story could finally deliver on a six-year contract he signed in 2022.
