  • Braves' Austin Riley: Slugs eighth homer

Riley went 1-for-3 with a walk and a three-run home run in Wednesday's win over the Marlins.

The third baseman took Janson Junk deep in the second inning to put Atlanta in the lead for good. The homer was Riley's eighth of the season and his fifth in May over 18 games, a month in which he's slashing .254/.301/.507 with 14 RBI, but a worrisome 3:23 BB:K. After a couple injury-marred campaigns, Riley has stayed healthy so far in 2026, but he has yet to put together an extended hot streak that would put him on track to reach the 30-HR, 90-RBI marks for the first time since 2023.

  • Braves' Austin Riley: Goes deep in win

Riley went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, three RBI and an additional run scored in Sunday's 8-1 win over the Red Sox.

Riley opened the scoring with a three-run blast in the first inning before adding a double and scoring again in the fifth. It marked the first time the third baseman recorded multiple extra-base hits in a game since April 17, and he's now hitting .286 with four home runs in 15 May contests after entering the month with just three long balls. On the season, he's slashing .220/.287/.384 with seven homers, 28 RBI, 24 runs scored and three steals across 195 plate appearances.

  • Braves' Austin Riley: Belts sixth homer

Riley went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's win over the Cubs.

The third baseman took Colin Rea deep in the fifth inning as part of a four-run frame for Atlanta that swung the game. Three of Riley's six homers on the season have come in May, and over 10 games this month he's slashing .316/.341/.579 with eight RBI, albeit with a 34.1 percent strikeout rate. Riley has a history of warming up with the weather, with July (.927 OPS) and August (.859 OPS) being the best months over his career, but May isn't far behind at an .841 OPS.

  • Braves' Austin Riley: Slams homer Monday

Riley went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Mariners on Monday.

Riley belted the fourth of Atlanta's four solo homers in the game, but the team was unable to get in the scoring column otherwise. The long ball was Riley's second in his past three contests following a 13-game homerless stretch. The veteran third baseman is batting just .213 on the season, but he may be coming around at the plate, as he's gone 6-for-15 with five RBI over his past four contests.

  • Braves' Austin Riley: Shows off power, speed in rout

Riley went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk, a stolen base and an additional run scored in Saturday's 9-1 win over the Rockies.

The 29-year-old ended up in an 0-for-15 cold spell over his final four outings of April, but he's starting the month of May off on the right foot. Saturday marked the first time this year that Riley both left the yard and swiped a bag in the same game. Riley, who hit seventh in the Atlanta lineup Saturday, is still batting a poor .205 with four homers, six doubles, 20 RBI and three stolen bases over 127 at-bats.

  • Phillies' Taijuan Walker: Hit hard in Friday's loss

Walker (1-3) took the loss Friday as the Phillies were routed 9-0 by Atlanta, coughing up seven runs on seven hits and three walks over four innings. He struck out four.

The right-hander served up homers to Austin Riley in the second inning and Dominic Smith in the third, the second time in four starts that Walker has been taken deep multiple times. It's been a brutal beginning to the year for the 33-year-old, and he carries a 9.16 ERA, 2.04 WHIP and 16:10 K:BB through 18.2 innings. Zack Wheeler (shoulder) will make what could be his final rehab start Sunday, but that schedule would allow Walker to get one more turn through the rotation on the road next week against the Cubs before being replaced.

  • Braves' Austin Riley: Powers rout with two homers

Riley went 2-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI in Friday's 9-0 win over the Phillies.

The third baseman went 18 games without a long ball to begin the season, but Riley has now gone yard three times in the last two contests after he launched a couple opposite-field homers Friday -- a three-run shot off a Taijuan Walker cutter in the third inning, and a solo blast on a Chase Shugart fastball in the ninth. Riley also has five multi-hit performances in the last nine games, a stretch in which he's slashing .316/.381/.632 with three doubles, two steals, 10 runs and 11 RBI.

  • Braves' Austin Riley: Slugs first homer of year

Riley went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo home run in Wednesday's win over the Marlins.

It took 19 games, but Riley finally left the yard in 2026 when he launched a first-pitch fastball from John King over the left-field wall to lead off the sixth inning. The third baseman has a rough start to the campaign, but over the last eight games he's batting .303 (10-for-33) with three doubles, two steals, seven RBI and eight runs.

  • Braves' Austin Riley: Swipes second bag of season

Riley went 1-for-5 with a run scored, two RBI and a stolen base in Monday's loss to the Marlins.

The 29-year-old third baseman has never been much of a runner -- his career high in steals is three and his career high in attempts in four, marks he set in 2023 -- but Riley already has two stolen bases in two attempts through the first 17 games of 2026. Atlanta's addition of Antoan Richardson to the coaching staff may have something to do with Riley's newfound spark on the basepaths, as it was Richardson who helped Juan Soto jump from seven steals to 38 with the Mets last season. The rest of Riley's offensive profile continues to lag, however, as he's slashing just .226/.324/.274 and has yet to homer this year.

  • Braves' Austin Riley: Drives in two runs

Riley went 2-for-5 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in Sunday's win over Cleveland.

Riley added to the blowout with a two-RBI double in the eighth inning to extend Atlanta's lead to 12. It's been a slow start to the season for the third baseman, who owns a .614 OPS through 16 games with no homers to date, though his numbers have improved of late, as the 29-year-old is slashing .280/.400/.360 over his past seven contests.

  • Braves' Austin Riley: Crosses plate three times in win

Riley went 1-for-3 with two walks, a double, three runs scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's win over the Angels.

It was a busy day on the basepaths for the third baseman, who isn't exactly known for his wheels -- the steal was just the eighth of Riley's career, and his first of 2026. He's still looking for his first homer of the year, and through 13 games Riley is slashing .200/.308/.244 with two doubles, three RBI and six runs.

  • Braves' Austin Riley: Receiving first day off

Riley is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks, Chad Bishop of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

It's the first day off of the season for Riley, who is batting .103 (3-for-29) with nine strikeouts in eight games since collecting three hits Opening Day. Mauricio Dubon will shift to the hot corner while Jorge Mateo picks up a start at shortstop in Sunday's series finale at Arizona.

  • Braves' Austin Riley: On base four times in Friday's win

Riley went 3-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Friday's win over the Royals.

While all of the third baseman's hits were singles, it was still an impressive start to the season. Riley has seen his offensive production decline the last two years as he struggled to stay healthy, but if he stays in the lineup the 28-year-old is more than capable of returning to the level he established in 2021-23, when he averaged 36 homers and 99 RBI a year with a .286/.354/.525 slash line.

  • Braves' Austin Riley: Roaring into regular season

Riley went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a home run and four RBI in Saturday's Grapefruit League game against the Red Sox.

The long ball wasn't a cheap one -- Riley got hold of a Garrett Crochet cutter in the second inning and put it over the ersatz Green Monster at JetBlue Park. It was Riley's fifth homer of the spring, and the third baseman knocked both his doubles off Boston's ace as well. Over 15 Grapefruit League games, Riley is batting .395 (15-for-38) with a 6:8 BB:K, and he looks more than ready for Opening Day.
