Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Team open to move to third base
The Blue Jays are open to moving Guerrero to third base next season if they're able to acquire a first baseman this offseason, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
Heyman lists Pete Alonso as the bat the Blue Jays could bring in to force a position switch for Guerrero. Vlad Jr. made 11 starts at the hot corner this season and was an everyday third baseman during his rookie year back in 2019. How eager Toronto might be to move the slugger across the diamond on a full-time basis isn't clear, but it might be considered for the opportunity to add the right bat.

Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Another three-hit effort Sunday
Guerrero went 3-for-5 with an RBI in Sunday's loss to the Rays.
All the knocks were singles, but it was still Guerrero's fourth three-hit performance in the last week. The 25-year-old is raking to close out a mostly disappointing season for the Blue Jays, and through 17 games in September he's slashing .348/.416/.536 with three homers, 11 RBI and 15 runs.

Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Reaches 30-homer plateau
Guerrero went 3-for-4 with two solo home runs, an additional run scored and a walk Thursday against the Rangers.
Each of Guerrero's blasts went for over 400 feet, raising his season homer total to 30. The first of those homers snapped a 49 at-bat homer-less streak. It was the first multi-homer game of the season for Guerrero and the 19th time he's collected at least three hits in a game. The veteran first baseman stands just one RBI shy of his second 100-RBI season, while his .322 average is a career best and ranks second in the majors behind only Bobby Witt.

Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Rips three hits in loss
Guerrero went 3-for-5 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 13-8 loss to the Rangers.
Guerrero has hit safely in nine of his 12 games in September, but this was just his second multi-hit effort of the month. He had seven such games over the last 11 contests of August. The first baseman is slashing .322/.397/.545 with 28 home runs, 97 RBI, 94 runs scored and two stolen bases over 148 games this season, and he still has time to chase down his third 30-homer campaign.
