  • Reds' Jake Fraley: Homers in loss

Fraley went 1-for-2 with three walks, a solo home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 9-5 loss to Baltimore. Fraley led off the second inning with a solo blast, his second homer in as many games. He's provided little offensively to start the season, going 6-for-35 with one RBI and three runs over his first 14 games, but Fraley's been coming on lately. The lefty-hitting outfielder is 6-for-14 with four walks, four extra-base hits, five RBI and four runs scored in his last four outings.

  • Reds' Jake Fraley: Big day vs. M's

Fraley went 3-for-5 with a double and a grand slam in Thursday's 10-inning loss to the Mariners. Fraley wound up a triple shy of a cycle Thursday. The 29-year-old outfielder capped a three-hit day with a go-ahead grand slam off Eduard Bazardo in the eighth inning, his first homer of the year, which looked to be the deciding blow before Seattle scored twice to tie the game in the ninth. Fraley, who'd been mired in a 2-for-12 slump in six games coming into Thursday, is now batting .234 with a .642 OPS, five RBI, five runs scored and a stolen base through 50 plate appearances this season.

  • Reds' Jake Fraley: Sitting versus southpaw

Fraley is not in the lineup for Friday's contest against the Pirates. It's southpaw Bailey Falter on the bump for Pittsburgh, so the left-handed hitting Fraley will grab a seat. Blake Dunn is in right field and batting second for the Reds.

  • Reds' Jake Fraley: Good to go Tuesday

Fraley (side) is starting in right field and batting eighth Tuesday against the Giants. The 29-year-old was scratched from Monday's starting nine due to left side pain but is back in the lineup for Tuesday's contest. Fraley has yet to get on track at the plate this season and has gone 4-for-27 with one double through eight games.

  • Reds' Jake Fraley: Scratched from lineup

Fraley was scratched from Monday's lineup against the Giants due to left side pain. Fraley was originally slated to start in right field and bat eighth, but he will now take a seat. It's unclear what exact injury he's dealing with, but in the meantime, Blake Dunn will slide over to right field while Jacob Hurtubise enters the lineup in left field and bats eighth in the series opener with San Francisco.

  • Reds' Jake Fraley: Resting against lefty

Fraley isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against Milwaukee. Back-to-back games against opposing left-handed starters will mean back-to-back days off for Fraley, who owns just a .504 OPS against southpaws for his career. Blake Dunn will fill in as Cincinnati's right fielder again Friday.

  • Reds' Jake Fraley: Idle vs. left-hander

Fraley is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Brewers. The lefty-hitting Fraley will grab a seat on the bench to begin Thursday's contest while the lefty-throwing Nestor Cortes toes the slab for Milwaukee. Blake Dunn will pick up a start in right field as a result and bat sixth.

  • Reds' Jake Fraley: Sitting against southpaw

Fraley is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants. The lefty-hitting Fraley will head to the bench for the series finale while the Giants send southpaw Robbie Ray to the hill. Santiago Espinal will pick up the start in right field in place of Fraley, who started in the first two contests of the series and went hitless in seven at-bats.

  • Reds' Jake Fraley: Homers Sunday

Fraley went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's spring game against the Cubs. Fraley launched his first homer and stole his first base in Cactus League action Sunday. At the very least, he'll be in the lineup against right-handers this season; the outfielder has a .504 OPS in 229 career plate appearances against southpaws. If healthy, Fraley's in line for 110-120 games, which is enough for him to post 20-plus steals, as he's done in each of the last two seasons.

  • Reds' Jake Fraley: Receives $3.125 million from Reds

The Reds and Fraley avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $3.125 million contract Thursday, Gordon Wittenmyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports. It was Fraley's second year of arbitration eligibility. The 29-year-old reached 20 stolen bases in 2024 but fell off to just five home runs over a career-high 116 games. He should be a strong-side platoon player again for Cincinnati in 2025.

  • Reds' Jake Fraley: Taking seat versus Sale

Fraley is absent from the lineup in Thursday's contest versus Atlanta. Southpaw Chris Sale is on the bump for Atlanta, so Fraley will begin the game on the bench. Amed Rosario will patrol right field for the Reds in Thursday's series finale.

  • Reds' Jake Fraley: Smacks fifth home run

Fraley went 3-for-4 with a solo homer and an additional run scored in Saturday's 11-1 win over the Twins. Fraley continued a recent hot stretch at the plate since returning from a stint on the injured list due to a knee injury. After hitting 15 homers last season, Fraley has struggled in the power department with just five home runs in 2024, though he has two over his last 13 games. The 29-year-old has started each of the Reds last 13 games and has a hit in 11 of those games with a .333 batting average in that span. Fraley picked up his fifth three-hit game of the season and raised his batting average to .280 in the process.

  • Reds' Jake Fraley: Swipes bag in third straight game

Fraley went 2-for-2 with a double, a stolen base and a walk in Thursday's 1-0 win over the Astros. Fraley reached base three times in a game for the first time since July 24 in the win over Houston. Fraley picked up his 19th steal of the season, and for the first time in his career he has a steal in three straight games. The 29-year-old is now one steal away from his second consecutive season of 20 or more swipes. He's hitting a respectable .275/.329/.383 for the year but is lacking in the power department with just four homers.

Fraley went 1-for-4 with a walk, a double, a stolen base and a run scored in Wednesday's 12-5 win over Houston. The swipe was Fraley's 18th of the season and second in as many games.

  • Reds' Jake Fraley: Steals 17th base

Fraley went 1-for-5 with a stolen base and a run scored in Monday's 5-3 win over Houston. Fraley, who has hits in both games since coming off the injured list Sunday, logged his 17th steal of the season in the fifth inning and scored on a Santiago Espinal single. The platoon outfielder seeks a second consecutive 20-steal season.

  • Reds' Jake Fraley: Homers in return

Fraley went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-3 extra-innings win over the Brewers. Fraley was activated from the 10-day injured list earlier in the day and inserted to start in right field. The outfielder had been out since Aug. 21 because of a right knee sprain. The lefty-hitting Fraley presumably will reclaim a role as a starter against right-handers.

  • Reds' Jake Fraley: Back from IL

The Reds reinstated Fraley (knee) from the 10-day injured list Sunday. He'll start in right field and bat sixth in the Reds' series finale with the Brewers. The 29-year-old is back on the active roster after a short stay on the injured list due to a knee sprain. Fraley had a .233/.298/.279 slash line across 15 games in August prior to the injury, but the lefty-hitting outfielder should reclaim a regular spot in Cincinnati's lineup versus right-handed pitching.

  • Reds' Jake Fraley: Expected back when first eligible

Reds manager David Bell said Tuesday that Fraley (knee) is on track to return from the 10-day injured list when first eligible Saturday, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports. Fraley was placed on the IL last week with a right knee sprain, but Bell indicated the outfielder was given a pain-killing injection, which has helped. He's expected to resume hitting soon and be back in the Reds' lineup this weekend.

  • Reds' Jake Fraley: Lands on injured list

The Reds placed Fraley on the 10-day injured list Thursday due to a right knee sprain, retroactive to Aug. 21. Fraley was a late scratch from Wednesday's lineup due to his knee, and he'll now sit down for at least another nine days while he recovers. Will Benson figures to start most days in right field while Fraley is sidelined, and the open roster spot will be given to Dominic Smith, who signed a major-league deal with the Reds on Thursday.

  • Reds' Jake Fraley: Not in Friday's lineup

Fraley is not in the lineup for Friday's game versus the Royals, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports. It's right-hander Michael Lorenzen on the mound for the Royals, but the left-handed hitting Fraley will begin this one on the bench while Will Benson starts in right field. With Spencer Steer playing more outfield of late, Fraley and Benson have seen their playing time dip.
