Bailey went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Cardinals.
Bailey has gone 12-for-43 (.279) with three extra-base hits and four RBI over his last 14 games. His steal Saturday was his fourth of the year and his first since July 22. The catcher has put together a middling year at the plate, slashing .234/.298/.339 with eight home runs, 46 RBI, 46 runs scored, 16 doubles and a triple over 121 contests. While he hasn't hit all that well, Bailey's elite pitch framing and arm have made him an essential part of the Giants' roster.

Giants' Patrick Bailey: Leaves yard Tuesday
Bailey went 2-for-4 with a solo homer, a walk and three runs scored in Tuesday's win over the Diamondbacks.
The home run was his first since July 10 and just his fourth extra-base hit since Aug. 17. Bailey now has five multi-hit games this month and is putting up similar numbers to his rookie campaign in 2023, slashing .235/.297/.342 with eight homers, 44 RBI, 45 runs, three steals and a 37:97 BB:K in 436 plate appearances.

Bailey missed the minimum 10 days with a strained oblique and will return without having gone on a rehab assignment. The switch-hitting catcher had been slashing just .057/.089/.075 in August prior to the injury. Andrew Knapp was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

After the team initially labeled Bailey's side injury as minor tightness, an MRI revealed Tuesday that the 25-year-old catcher suffered a strained oblique.
