Top T.J. Brock News

  • Blue Jays' T.J. Brock: Undergoes Tommy John surgery

Brock will miss the 2025 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery, Scott Mitchell of TSN.ca reports.

Brock dealt with an elbow injury in mid-June, and he was able to toss only 11.1 innings over the course of the 2024 campaign. The right-hander will now shift his focus to rehabbing for the 2026 season following this unfortunate update.

  • Blue Jays' T.J. Brock: Back in action for New Hampshire

Double-A New Hampshire reinstated Brock (elbow) from its 7-day injured list Wednesday.

Brock worked in relief Wednesday in New Hampshire's 5-0 loss to Richmond, striking out one and allowing one hit over a scoreless inning. The right-hander had been on the shelf all season with an elbow injury but was cleared to make his 2024 Double-A debut after making four rehab appearances between the rookie-level Florida Complex League and Single-A Dunedin.

  • Blue Jays' T.J. Brock: Dealing with elbow injury

Brock is on the 7-day injured list with Double-A New Hampshire due to an elbow injury, Sam Dykstra of MLB.com reports.

It's currently just being labeled as elbow soreness, per Dykstra, and the hope is that Brock will join the Fisher Cats' bullpen sometime in the first half. Brock is one of Toronto's better relief pitching prospects, but he will need to cut down on the free passes (87:23 K:BB in 52.2 innings last year) in order to profile as a high-leverage reliever at the highest level.
