Dodgers' Tony Gonsolin: DFA'd by Dodgers
The Dodgers designated Gonsolin (elbow) for assignment Thursday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
A back injury prevented Gonsolin from pitching in the first month of the regular season, and he suffered an elbow injury in June that ultimately required season-ending surgery and will keep him sidelined for the first few months of the 2026 campaign. Assuming the injury-prone righty clears waivers, he will have the right to elect free agency and attempt to find another opportunity elsewhere.

Dodgers' Tony Gonsolin: Done for 2025
Gonsolin underwent an internal brace procedure on his right elbow Tuesday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Gonsolin has been on the injured list since early June with elbow soreness. After making minimal progress in his recovery, the 31-year-old opted to go under the knife to address the issue, which will officially end his 2025 campaign after just seven starts. His recovery is expected to take roughly 8-to-10 months, putting him in line to return sometime during the first half of the '26 season.

Dodgers' Tony Gonsolin: Not close to throwing
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Monday that Gonsolin (elbow) is not close to starting a throwing program, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Gonsolin has not done any throwing since he landed on the 15-day injured list in early June with right elbow soreness. He's since been transferred to the 60-day IL and there is no timetable for the right-hander's return.

Dodgers' Tony Gonsolin: Shifts to 60-day IL
Gonsolin (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Thursday.
Gonsolin was placed on the injured list June 7 due to right elbow soreness. Imaging showed that his UCL was intact, but he'll nevertheless now be sidelined until at least early August. The move made room for Jack Little on the 40-man roster.

Dodgers' Tony Gonsolin: UCL intact
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts indicated Sunday that scans of Gonsolin's injured right elbow showed that his UCL is intact, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
Gonsolin underwent Tommy John surgery late in 2023, and there was concern about the health of his UCL when he experienced right elbow discomfort following his most recent start June 5. Despite the good news, Gonsolin will stop throwing for an undetermined period. He was placed on the 15-day IL on Saturday, but it's not clear how long he will be out of action.

Dodgers' Tony Gonsolin: Lands on IL with elbow injury
The Dodgers placed Gonsolin on the 15-day injured list Saturday due to right elbow discomfort, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Gonsolin last started Wednesday when he allowed three runs (two earned) over five innings in a loss to the Mets. The right-hander began the campaign on the IL due to a back injury, but this is the first word of Gonsolin dealing with an elbow issue. It's unclear how Los Angeles will immediately replace Gonsolin in the rotation, as the team activated a pair of relievers -- Michael Kopech (shoulder) and Kirby Yates (hamstring) -- from the IL on Saturday.
