  • Royals' Brady Singer: Pulled in the third

Singer was saddled with the loss Sunday, allowing four runs on eight hits and a walk over 2.2 innings against the Red Sox. He struck out three.

Singer couldn't put things together Sunday, allowing separate two-run homers in each of the first and second innings, then loading the bases in the third prior to being pulled. It was the shortest outing of the season for Singer, who entered the contest having allowed only one earned run during each of his previous four starts. He enters the All-Star break ranked 10th in the majors with a 3.20 ERA to go along with a 1.23 WHIP and 99 strikeouts over 19 starts spanning 104 innings.

  • Royals' Brady Singer: Goes seven innings strong

Singer (5-5) picked up the win Sunday against Colorado, allowing one run on six hits and two walks across seven innings. He struck out seven.

Singer picked up his first win since May 19 and was able to minimize the impacts of Coors Field, allowing no extra-base hits in seven innings of work. Although Singer's efforts haven't resulted in wins, he's allowed less than three earned runs in seven of his last nine starts and has logged a quality start in three of his last five outings. Through 101.1 innings, Singer owns a 2.93 ERA and a 1.17 WHIP. He's in line for one more start before the All-Star break, which is scheduled to come during a weekend series in Boston.

  • Royals' Brady Singer: Handed tough-luck loss

Singer (4-5) was saddled with the loss Tuesday versus Tampa Bay, allowing one earned run on three hits and three walks while striking out four batters in five innings.

Singer was able to keep the Rays' bats relatively quiet Tuesday, as the only run scored against him came as a result of a wild pitch in the second inning. However, a lack of run support from his offense combined with a collapse of Kansas City's bullpen following a lengthy rain delay will cause the 27-year-old righty to take his third loss in five starts. Singer remains without a win since May 19, but he'll have a good opportunity to get back in the win column over the weekend when he faces Colorado.
