Celtics' Jaylen Brown: Undergoes surgery on knee
The Celtics announced Wednesday that Brown underwent a successful right knee arthroscopic debridement procedure.
Brown finished the 2025 NBA Playoffs with a partially torn right meniscus, and he had to manage the issue for several weeks. Fortunately for Brown and the Celtics, by addressing the issue now, the star forward is expected to participate in training camp without any limitations. Brown could have a ton on his plate in 2025-26 due to Jayson Tatum's (Achilles) absence.

Celtics' Jaylen Brown: Played through torn meniscus
Brown finished the 2025 NBA Playoffs with a partially torn right meniscus, and he'll be evaluated in the coming days to assess the possibility of surgery, Ramona Shelbourne of ESPN.com reports.
Brown missed the final three games of the regular season while dealing with the injury, and after Boston lost Game 6 against the Knicks on Friday, it was revealed that the star forward had been playing through pain in the playoffs as well. It's unclear whether Brown will undergo surgery, and a timetable for his recovery won't be revealed until there's clarity on what he'll do during the offseason. Brown averaged 22.1 points and 7.1 rebounds in 36.5 minutes per game during the playoffs for Boston.

Celtics' Jaylen Brown: Scores 20 points in playoff exit
Brown totaled 20 points (8-20 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal over 32 minutes before fouling out of Friday's 119-81 loss to New York in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
The Celtics had a challenging task in recovering from a 3-1 deficit without their best player, Jayson Tatum (Achilles), but Brown did what he could in this Game 6 loss. The veteran forward scored at least 20 points in all but one of the six games in the Conference Semifinals against the Knicks, and his role as one of the Celtics' go-to players could be heightened next season with Tatum likely to miss a significant portion, if not all, of the campaign.

Celtics' Jaylen Brown: Comes close to triple-double
Brown ended with 26 points (9-17 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 5-8 FT), eight rebounds, 12 assists and one steal in 37 minutes during Wednesday's 127-102 win over the Knicks in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
The Knicks aimed to slow Brown down in the absence of Jayson Tatum (Achilles), and while his scoring numbers weren't as eye-popping as Derrick White's, his overall stat line was impressive. Brown emerged as a reliable facilitator and dished out 12 dimes while ending just two boards shy of what would've been his first triple-double of the current postseason. The Celtics need Brown to be at his best if they're going to erase the 3-2 deficit and set up a rematch against the Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals. Brown is averaging 21.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 0.8 steals per game in the current series against the Knicks.

Celtics' Jaylen Brown: Comes close to double-double
Brown finished Monday's 121-113 loss to the Knicks in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with 20 points (7-16 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 4-6 FT), seven rebounds and two assists over 33 minutes.
Brown ended just three boards shy of a double-double, and he's been remarkably consistent as a scoring weapon for the Celtics. However, he's taken on a more secondary role behind Jayson Tatum (lower leg) and Derrick White. Brown has scored at least 19 points in eight consecutive playoff appearances and is averaging 20.5 points per game in the current series against the Knicks.

Celtics' Jaylen Brown: Pours in 19 points in win
Brown recorded 19 points (7-18 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal over 36 minutes during Saturday's 115-93 win over the Knicks in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Brown finished as one of five Celtics to score at least 15 points, though he was fairly inefficient in the win. The 28-year-old forward has struggled to find the net thus far in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, shooting 36.1 percent from the field and 21.7 percent from beyond the arc. He has averaged 20.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.0 steals across 40.7 minutes per game in three second-round appearances.
