This was Brown's seventh double-double of the season, and his second straight 30-point double-double. Brown has been hot in January, scoring 30.8 points per game on 44.2 percent shooting from the field and 83.6 percent at the stripe to go with 7.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.5 triples per contest.

Brown (undisclosed) has checked back in to Wednesday's game against Indiana.
After a short stint in the locker room, Brown has returned to Wednesday's game. It's uncertain what caused his departure, but he's seemingly feeling well enough to close out the contest. Brown had been listed on the pregame injury report with hamstring tightness.

Celtics' Jaylen Brown: Heads to locker room
Brown exited Wednesday's game against the Pacers and went back to the locker room for an unknown reason, John Karalis of BostonSportsJournal.com reports.
Brown was on the injury report leading up to Wednesday's game due to hamstring tightness, but he didn't show any clear signs of injury when he left the floor and went into the tunnel. While the star forward is absent, look for Hugo Gonzalez and Baylor Scheierman to see an uptick in playing time.

Celtics' Jaylen Brown: Expected to play Wednesday
Brown is probable for Wednesday's game against the Pacers with left hamstring tightness.
It sounds like the star forward is nursing a minor issue, which shouldn't prevent him from suiting up Wednesday. Over his last nine appearances, Brown has averaged 30.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.7 three-pointers in 35.3 minutes per contest.

Celtics' Jaylen Brown: Drops 32 points in defeat
Brown posted 32 points (11-28 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 8-10 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists and one block across 39 minutes in Monday's 104-103 loss to the Pistons.
Although Brown struggled with efficiency in this one, he still led all players in scoring and reached the 30-point threshold for the fourth time through nine appearances this month. The star forward also grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds, securing his first double-double since Jan. 1 and his sixth outing with a double-double or better on the campaign. Brown has scored at least 25 points in six straight games, averaging 30.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists per contest during that span.

Although Brown struggled from beyond the arc, he still erupted for a game-high 41 points while putting up at least 30 field-goal attempts for the fourth time this season. The star forward remains on pace for a career-best season and has now reached the 40-point threshold in five of his 38 regular-season outings. He has also grabbed at least six boards in each of his last six appearances, averaging 27.8 points, 7.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game over that stretch.

Celtics' Jaylen Brown: Drops 27 points in return
Brown finished Thursday's 119-114 win over Miami with 27 points (9-24 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 7-7 FT) and seven rebounds over 30 minutes.
Brown was cleared to return Thursday from a one-game absence due to lower-back spasms. He wasn't the most efficient from the field and committed five turnovers, but he and Anfernee Simons (39 points) carried the Celtics' scoring load en route to a road win that snapped Boston's two-game losing skid. Brown has scored at least 25 points in six of his last seven outings since Jan. 1, and over that span he has averaged 29.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 2.9 threes over 35.5 minutes per game, though he's connected on just 43.9 percent of his field-goal attempts over that span.

Celtics' Jaylen Brown: Won't go Monday
Brown (back) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Pacers, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports.

Celtics' Jaylen Brown: Doubtful for Monday
Brown is doubtful to play Monday versus the Pacers due to lower-back spasms.
It appears that Brown will be unavailable Monday evening, but the good news is that after Monday's game, the Celtics won't play again until Thursday, so Brown will have plenty of time to rest his back. Sam Hauser (hamstring) is questionable for Monday, and if he's forced to join Brown on the inactive list, Hugo Gonzalez could get the start, while Payton Pritchard and Derrick White will do the heavy lifting on offense.

Celtics' Jaylen Brown: Big numbers in tough loss
Brown ended with 27 points (11-28 FG, 5-11 3Pt), eight rebounds and seven assists across 43 minutes during Saturday's 100-95 loss to the Spurs.
The 29-year-old forward failed to get to the free-throw line at all for the first time since Nov. 1 against the Rockets, but he still delivered a strong overall line in the box score. Brown has scored more than 20 points in nine of the last 10 games, averaging 29.9 points, 6.9 boards, 5.1 assists, 2.5 threes and 0.8 steals over that stretch while shooting 40.3 percent from beyond the arc.

Celtics' Jaylen Brown: Lives at charity stripe Friday
Brown posted 25 points (6-16 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 12-13 FT), eight rebounds, seven assists and one block over 36 minutes during the Celtics' 125-117 win over the Raptors on Friday.
Brown did a little bit of everything and did most of his scoring damage from the free-throw line, tying a season high in free throws that he set on two separate occasions before Friday's win. He finished as the Celtics' second-leading scorer behind Payton Pritchard (27 points), and while he wasn't able to reach the 30-point threshold, Brown has scored at least 23 points in all but one game over his last 15 appearances. Over that span, Brown has averaged 31.2 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 2.2 threes and 0.9 steals over 35.2 minutes per game while shooting 51.1 percent from the field.

Brown went ice cold in the Celtics' last game, scoring just 14 points while shooting 6-for-24 from the field. He recovered with a solid 33-point outing Wednesday night. Since the start of December, Brown is averaging 31.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 5.1 assists spanning 14 games.

Celtics' Jaylen Brown: Drops 50-piece on Clippers
Brown recorded 50 points (18-26 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 8-10 FT), five assists and three rebounds over 35 minutes during the Celtics' 146-115 win over the Clippers on Saturday.
It was an outstanding performance out of the No. 3 overall pick of the 2016 NBA Draft. He scored in double digits in three of four quarters, including 19 points in the third frame to help the Celtics maintain their lead heading into the fourth. Brown's 50 points tied a career high that he set on Jan. 2, 2022 against the Magic, and the All-Star forward has stepped up in a huge way in the absence of Jayson Tatum (Achilles). The Celtics hold a 12-3 record over their last 15 games, and in the 13 games Brown played in across that span he has averaged 31.9 points on 52.9 percent shooting along with 6.9 rebounds, 5.7 assists, 2.2 threes and 1.0 steals over 35.4 minutes per game.

Celtics' Jaylen Brown: Drops 29 points in win
Brown provided 29 points (11-25 FG, 1-9 3Pt, 6-7 FT), 10 rebounds and four assists in 35 minutes before fouling out of Thursday's 120-106 victory over the Kings.
Brown struggled to find his groove from beyond the arc, but that didn't prevent him from leading the Celtics with 29 points. He was also effective on the glass, as he posted his first double-digit rebounding game since Nov. 30 and his second straight double-double after dishing out 10 dimes Tuesday against Utah. This was a strong start to the new month after Brown averaged 31.7 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.2 steals through 10 December appearances.

While Brown's streak of 30-plus-point games ended at nine, he still finished as Boston's second-leading scorer Tuesday. The star forward dished out a game-high 10 assists as well, securing his fourth outing with a double-double or better through 30 regular-season appearances. Brown has played in each of the Celtics' last four games, during which he has averaged 30.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.8 steals in 34.0 minutes per tilt.
