Harry Giles: Waived by Buzz City
Giles was waived by the Hornets on Friday.
Giles signed an Exhibit 10 pact with the club in September, though he is now expected to join its G League affiliate, the Greensboro Swarm. The No. 20 overall pick of the 2017 Draft spent time with both Brooklyn and the Lakers last season, during which he averaged 2.4 points and 1.3 rebounds across only 4.3 minutes per game in 23 regular-season appearances.

Hornets' Harry Giles: Joins Charlotte
Giles signed a one-year contract with the Hornets on Sunday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
The No. 20 overall pick in 2017, Giles has struggled to carve out a role in the NBA. He made 23 regular-season appearances -- split between the Lakers and Nets -- last year, his first action since 2020. Giles will compete for an Opening Night roster spot in Charlotte but has an uphill battle, as Mark Williams, Nick Richards and Taj Gibson figure to have the upper hand heading into training camp.

Lakers' Harry Giles: Signs two-way deal with Lakers
Giles and the Lakers agreed to a two-way contract Friday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
The Lakers were thin on frontcourt depth, so Giles will step in to give the team a healthy body at center. Before catching on with the Lakers, Giles had made 16 appearances for the Nets this season in what was his first NBA action since 2020-21. He averaged 3.4 points and 1.6 rebounds in 5.1 minutes per game for Brooklyn.

Harry Giles: Cut by Brooklyn
The Nets will waive Giles on Thursday, Chris Haynes of Turner Sports reports.
Once considered the top prep recruit in the Class of 2016, Giles has since dealt with multiple serious knee injuries that have hindered his development. Following a two-year hiatus from the NBA, Giles made his return to the league with the Nets but appeared in just 16 games for Brooklyn and was never a regular member of head coach Jacque Vaughn's rotation. The 25-year-old will try to catch on with another team, but he may have to reboot his career in the G League or overseas before getting his next NBA opportunity.

Nets' Harry Giles: Rare appearance Friday
Giles amassed zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one rebound across five minutes during Friday's 130-112 victory over the Lakers.
Giles cracked the rotation for just the second time in the past seven games, failing to score in five minutes. Having played in only 12 games all season, Giles has been unable to carve out a consistent role, even with injuries to other players. There is obviously nothing to see here from a fantasy perspective.

Nets' Harry Giles: Scores in double figures off bench
Giles ended with 11 points (4-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six rebounds, one assist and one steal over 15 minutes during Thursday's 124-101 loss to the Nuggets.
Giles has now appeared in three of the last four games for Brooklyn, and he played double-digit minutes for the parent club for the first time this season Thursday. While he had an encouraging stat line against the Nuggets, he's unlikely to be a reliable fantasy contributor moving forward, as he's averaging just 6.8 points and 2.0 rebounds in 7.2 minutes per game over five appearances in the NBA this season.

Nets' Harry Giles: Tallies double-double in win
Giles finished with 16 points (8-10 FG, 0-1 FT), 10 rebounds and one steal over 20 minutes in Thursday's 135-103 preseason win over Ra'anana.
Giles played just 20 minutes, but he managed to lead all starters in rebounds while finishing as the lone player with a double-double in Thursday's preseason contest. Over two exhibition games, Giles has averaged 10.0 points and 7.0 rebounds over 15.5 minutes per game for the Nets.

Nets' Harry Giles: Starting Thursday
Giles will start Thursday's contest against Israeli club Maccabi Ra'anana, Tim Bontemps of ESPN.com reports.
Giles will get the nod since Nic Claxton is sitting out with a sore glute, per Nets coach Jacque Vaughn. Giles averaged 2.8 points and 3.5 rebounds in 9.2 minutes during his previous NBA stint with the Blazers back in the 2020-21 season, and these minutes will be huge for him in his quest to make the Nets' opening night roster.

Giles made his last NBA appearance in 2020-21 for the Trail Blazers. In 38 games, he averaged 2.8 points and 3.5 rebounds in 9.2 minutes. The 25-year-old big man will likely compete for a depth role in the Nets' frontcourt.

Harry Giles: Done for season
Giles has been ruled out for the remainder of the season due to injury, per the G League transactions page.
Giles appeared in just three games during the showcase and didn't appear in the regular season for Agua Caliente. It doesn't appear that will change and he will instead gear up for a return in 2022-23.

Harry Giles: Deactivated by Agua Caliente
Giles (undisclosed) has been deactivated by the G League Clippers, per RealGM.
Giles was unable to play in Wednesday's game against Santa Cruz due to an injury or illness, so his deactivation could signal that the issue is somewhat severe. His return to action should be preceded by his activation.

Harry Giles: Does not play against Santa Cruz
Giles didn't play Wednesday against Santa Cruz due to an injury/illness designation.
It remains to be seen what's the real issue with Giles since no further details have been given, but his next chance to play will come Thursday against the Warriors' G League affiliate once again on a back-to-back set.

Harry Giles: Scores 17 off bench
Giles posted 17 points (6-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, two blocks and an assist across 22 minutes off the bench in Thursday's win over the Ignite.
Giles ended as Agua Caliente's second-best scorer while coming off the bench in what was a very efficient performance from the 23-year-old. This game was a step in the right direction following his effort in the season opener when he scored just nine points while making just four of his 11 shots.

Harry Giles: Waived by Clippers
Giles was waived by the Clippers on Saturday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
Giles averaged 6.3 points and 7.5 rebounds in 13.7 minutes per game across four preseason appearances this year. However, he was unable to remain with the club to begin the regular season because Isaiah Hartenstein secured a spot on the final roster.

Clippers' Harry Giles: Inks camp deal with Clippers
Giles signed a non-guaranteed contract with the Clippers on Tuesday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Giles will get a chance to prove his usefulness to the organization during training camp. Giles was the No. 2 high school recruit in the 2016 class but was drafted 20th overall in 2017 due to durability concerns, and he's struggled to find a consistent role since. He's appeared in 142 NBA games (17 starts) and has averaged 5.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 12.9 minutes.

Trail Blazers' Harry Giles: Left out of rotation
Giles hasn't appeared in any of the Trail Blazers' last five games due to coach's decisions.
Even with top center Jusuf Nurkic missing one of those contests for rest purposes, Giles hasn't been able to find even garbage-time minutes while coming off the Portland bench. When both Nurkic and Enes Kanter are available, they'll absorb most of the minutes at center in competitive contests, and Robert Covington and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson appear to be coach Terry Stotts' top options at the position when the Trail Blazers roll out small-ball lineups. Giles is thus unlikely to be much more than an emergency depth piece for Portland.

Trail Blazers' Harry Giles: Healthy, but not in rotation
Giles (calf) was active for the Trail Blazers' victories Thursday over the Pelicans and Friday over the Mavericks, but he didn't leave the bench in coach's decisions.
The Trail Blazers are light on center depth with Jusuf Nurkic (wrist) and Zach Collins (ankle) both in the midst of long-term absences, but the recent return of Giles from a month-long absence of his own due to a calf injury hasn't affected head coach Terry Stotts' rotations. Rather than relying on Giles, Stotts has turned to starting power forward Robert Covington to fill most of the backup minutes behind starter Enes Kanter. Giles' path to playing time will become more blocked when Nurkic likely returns to action in late March.

Trail Blazers' Harry Giles: Available against Pelicans
Giles (calf) is available for Thursday's game against the Pelicans, Jay Allen of NBC Sports Northwest Rip City Radio 620 reports.
Giles was listed as probable for Thursday's matchup, and he'll officially be able to return after missing 13 consecutive games due to a left calf strain. He averaged 3.1 points and 4.9 rebounds over 11.8 minutes per game prior to his absence and could see a similar role going forward.
