Jeremiah Martin: Joins G League bubble
The Long Island Nets announced Wednesday that Martin will be a member of their 12-man roster for the 2020-21 G League season in Orlando.
As a two-way player for Brooklyn last season, Martin made nine appearances at the NBA level, averaging 7.1 points, 2.0 assists and 1.1 rebounds in 11.0 minutes per game. The Nets retained him through training camp before he was ultimately waived in December, with the organization electing to enter the 2020-21 campaign with Chris Chiozza and Reggie Perry as its two two-way players. Brooklyn still retained Martin's G League rights, so he'll suit up for Long Island in the G League bubble in Orlando.

The Nets waived Martin on Tuesday.
After inking a two-year, two-way pact with the Nets last January, Martin proceeded to appear in nine games during his inaugural NBA season, averaging 7.1 points in 11.0 minutes per contest. Martin looked to be in good shape to maintain his two-way spot heading into the 2020-21 season, but Brooklyn ultimately elected to swap him out for Chris Chiozza just hours before Tuesday's opener versus the Warriors. Chiozza and rookie second-round pick Reggie Perry will occupy the Nets' two two-way slots to begin the season.

Martin signed a two-way contract with the Nets on Wednesday, Anthony Puccio of NetsDaily.com reports.
The undrafted rookie out of Memphis has spent the 2019-20 season with the Heat's G League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce. He impressed across his 21 games with the Skyforce, averaging 18.5 points, 5.1 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 29.4 minutes. The two-way deal will allow him to spend up to 45 days at the NBA level the rest of the season, but Martin is a developmental option who is expected to see the bulk of his playing time with Brooklyn's own affiliate in Long Island.
