Hawks' Luke Kennard: Drops 11 off bench
Kennard amassed 11 points (4-5 FG, 3-4 3Pt), five rebounds and two assists in 21 minutes during Wednesday's 115-92 loss to the Clippers.
While Kennard's production in the absence of Trae Young (knee) has been rather disappointing, he continues to shoot well from beyond the arc, averaging 1.4 threes made on a 42.6 percent clip. Kennard will continue to come off the bench for the Hawks behind Dyson Daniels and Nickeil Alexander-Walker and isn't worth rostering unless you need some production in the three-pointers category.

Hawks' Asa Newell: Recalled to NBA
Atlanta recalled Newell from the G League's College Park Skyhawks on Wednesday.
Newell ended up playing 19 minutes against the Clippers on Wednesday, finishing with 11 points (4-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one rebound and one steal. If Jalen Johnson (calf) and Kristaps Porzingis (illness) continue to miss time, Newell has shown the coaching staff that he will be ready if his name is called.

Hawks' Onyeka Okongwu: Held to seven points in loss
Okongwu notched seven points (3-12 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 0-1 FT), nine rebounds and five assists over 34 minutes during Wednesday's 115-92 loss to the Clippers.
Okongwu had a tough night banging in the post with Ivica Zubac, and he didn't even get his first shot to drop until the second quarter. It was an off night for a guy who is having a fantastic season, so managers can expect a bounce-back performance Friday against the Nuggets.

Hawks' Mouhamed Gueye: Scoreless over 23 minutes
Gueye ended Wednesday's 115-92 loss to the Clippers with zero points (0-2 FG), six rebounds and one steal across 23 minutes.
Gueye saw some increased opportunity as a starter Wednesday, but he failed to make the most of it, missing both of his shot attempts in a scoreless performance. He's gone 0-for-5 from the floor over the past two games, so he's clearly slumping at the moment. Expect him to return to a reserve role Friday against the Nuggets.

Hawks' Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Nets 21 points in loss
Alexander-Walker racked up 21 points (7-18 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 5-7 FT), five rebounds, three assists and one steal over 31 minutes during Wednesday's 115-92 loss to the Clippers.
Alexander-Walker dominated the offense with Jalen Johnson (calf) sidelined, and while he didn't have his most efficient outing, he still managed to extend his career-best streak of games with 20-plus points to four. The seven-year veteran is having a breakout season playing a key role in Atlanta, churning out career highs in points (20.4), triples (2.8) and assists (3.6).

Hawks' Caleb Houstan: Available for NBA squad
The Hawks recalled Houstan from the G League, and he will be available for Wednesday's game against the Clippers, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
Including Houstan, Atlanta has just 10 players available for Wednesday's contest. However, the two-way wing appeared in a G League game Wednesday morning and played over 30 minutes. It's uncertain if he'll be anything more than an emergency option, but it's possible he sees the court in two games Wednesday.

Hawks' Mouhamed Gueye: Starting Wednesday
Gueye is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Clippers, Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com reports.
Gueye is getting the start with Jalen Johnson (calf) unavailable, and he'll be joined in the first unit by Dyson Daniels, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Zaccharie Risacher and Onyeka Okongwu. As a starter this season, Gueye has posted averages of 16.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 3.0 triples, 1.0 steals and 1.5 blocks per contest.

Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Won't play Wednesday
Johnson (calf) won't play Wednesday against the Clippers, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports.
Johnson was a very late addition to the injury report with a questionable tag, only for the Hawks to rule him out for good a few minutes later. With Johnson sidelined, there could be more opportunities for Mouhamed Gueye, Zaccharie Risacher and Vit Krejci.

Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Questionable for Wednesday
Johnson is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Clippers with right calf tightness.
Johnson was a very late addition to the injury report, and that's usually a bad sign for availability. Johnson is averaging 38.2 minutes per game over his last five outings, so a maintenance day could be on the table if he's not 100 percent. Mouhamed Gueye, Zaccharie Risacher and Vit Krejci could be more involved for Atlanta if Johnson is held out.

Hawks' Jacob Toppin: Ruled out for Wednesday
Toppin (shoulder) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Clippers, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
Toppin will miss his third consecutive contest due to a right shoulder sprain. He has appeared in just five games for the parent club this season, so the two-way player's absence shouldn't cause any significant waves in Atlanta's rotation.

Hawks' Kristaps Porzingis: Ruled out with illness
Porzingis is out for Wednesday's game against the Clippers with an illness, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Networkreports.
Wednesday will be a fourth straight absence for Porzingis, whose next chance to return is the front end of a back-to-back Friday against Denver. Onyeka Okongwu should start at center once again, and he has averaged 18.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.8 blocks and 1.4 steals per tilt in 10 games as a starter this season.

Hawks' Vit Krejci: Lean run continues
Krejci notched three points (1-4 FG, 1-4 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 17 minutes during Monday's 99-98 loss to the Pistons.
Krejci scored no more than five points for the third time in the past five games, continuing what has been an underwhelming stretch of offensive production. It appears that his playing time and associated fantasy value are almost entirely reliant on his shooting. In eight games over the past two weeks, he has averaged 8.5 points and 2.3 three-pointers in 25.5 minutes per contest. He should be viewed as nothing more than a three-point streaming option.

Hawks' Zaccharie Risacher: Modest production continues
Risacher ended Monday's 99-98 loss to the Pistons with four points (2-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt), one rebound, one assist and three steals across 22 minutes.
Risacher recorded another disappointing line, despite a season-high three steals. Although he has been a permanent fixture in the starting lineup, Risacher has been far from a must-roster player. In 24.7 minutes per game, he has averaged 11.4 points, 1.0 steals and 1.5 three-pointers, barely putting him inside the top 200 in standard fantasy formats.

Hawks' Keaton Wallace: Fails to score in loss
Wallace supplied zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt), two rebounds and five assists across 16 minutes during Monday's 99-98 loss to the Pistons.
Wallace failed to score for the third time in the past four games, continuing to play a minor role despite the fact that Trae Young is sidelined with a knee injury. In seven games over the past two weeks, Wallace has averaged just 4.4 points and 2.4 assists per game, leaving him well off the fantasy radar outside very deep formats.

Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Double-doubles with seven dimes
Johnson racked up 29 points (9-17 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 7-8 FT), 13 rebounds and seven assists across 37 minutes during Monday's 99-98 defeat in Detroit.
This was the 20th career game for Johnson with 20-plus points, 10-plus rebounds and five-plus assists, which are the most such games by a player 23-years or younger in Hawks' franchise history. Johnson is currently boasting career highs in points (23.2) and assists (7.3) this season, and he's showing no signs of slowing down.
