Magic's Jonathan Isaac: Season-best performance off bench
Isaac posted 20 points (8-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 11 rebounds, two blocks and an assist in 27 minutes during Sunday's 102-99 win over the 76ers.
Isaac logged his first double-double since 2019, along with season highs in points and rebounds in the narrow victory, marking undoubtedly his best outing of the year. With Franz Wagner (oblique) expected to remain sidelined for an extended period of time and Tristan da Silva (illness) leaving Sunday's game early, Isaac has an opportunity to continue building off the performance, especially if da Silva misses further time. However, he'll still find himself jostling with Caleb Houstan, who started Sunday, for minutes even if da Silva remains out going forward. His next chance to take the court comes Wednesday against the Bucks.

Magic's Anthony Black: Stuffs stat sheet in win
Black logged 16 points (7-18 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-6 FT), six rebounds, six assists and two steals in 37 minutes of play during Sunday's 102-99 win over the 76ers.
Black has shown flashes of brilliance this season, and tonight was one of those nights for the second-year guard. He contributed across the board, which should please fantasy managers who played him in category leagues. However, Black is certainly benefitting from starter Jalen Suggs (back) being out, and even then he's remained unpredictable during Suggs' absence. He'll look to keep rolling Wednesday against the Bucks.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Stays hot in win
Anthony scored 25 points (11-17 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), dished four assists, grabbed three boards and recorded two steals in Sunday's 102-99 win over the 76ers.
It seemed as though he had taken a leap at times last season, but Anthony has remained a backup this year. However, with Jalen Suggs (back) out again Sunday, Anthony stepped into the starting lineup and delivered once again. He's now averaging 18.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists in the last five games with the first unit, his only starts of the year. Suggs remains day-to-day, and until he can return, Anthony should continue to start. His next outing comes Wednesday against the Bucks.

Magic's Goga Bitadze: Exits game due to hip injury
Bitadze headed to the locker room late in the second quarter of Sunday's game against the 76ers due to a right hip contusion and is questionable to return.
Bitadze exited at the 2:38 mark in the second quarter and looked to be holding his back before heading to the locker room. He was later diagnosed with a right hip contusion, and was unable to return to the game. Wendell Carter and Jonathan Isaac would be in line for minutes off the bench for as long as Bitadze is out of the lineup

Magic's Tristan da Silva: Exits Sunday's game
Da Silva went to the locker room in the first quarter of Sunday's game against the 76ers and did not return due to an illness, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Da Silva was replaced by Anthony Black at the 10:59 mark of the first quarter, after the former left for the locker room due to an illness. Black and Cole Anthony should see an increase in minutes off the bench for as long as da Silva is sidelined.

Magic's Caleb Houstan: Starting Sunday
Houstan is in the Magic's starting lineup against the 76ers on Sunday.
Houstan started in four straight games before returning to the bench against the Bucks on Friday due to the return of Paolo Banchero (oblique). However, Houstan will re-enter the starting five Sunday due to the absence of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (knee). Over his last five outings, Houstan has averaged 6.8 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists over 25.4 minutes per game.

Magic's Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Not playing Sunday vs. Sixers
Caldwell-Pope (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the 76ers, Cody Taylor of USA Today reports.
Caldwell-Pope injured his left knee during Friday's 109-106 loss to the Bucks. He was initially deemed probable for Sunday's game, but he was downgraded to questionable before eventually being ruled out. Caldwell-Pope's next chance to play will be Wednesday against Milwaukee. Caleb Houstan will enter the Magic's starting lineup due to Caldwell-Pope's injury.

Magic's Jett Howard: Sidelined Sunday
Howard (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Philadelphia, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Howard sustained the left ankle sprain during Friday's loss to the Bucks, and his next chance to suit up will come Wednesday against the Bucks. The 21-year-old has received inconsistent run this season, though he has seen an uptick in playing time due to Jalen Suggs (back) being sidelined. Caleb Houstan and Anthony Black are candidates for a bump in minutes with both Howard and Suggs sidelined.

Magic's Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Now questionable Sunday
Caldwell-Pope (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against the 76ers.

Magic's Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Probable for Sunday
Caldwell-Pope (knee) is probable for Sunday's game against the 76ers.
Caldwell-Pope left Friday's game against the Bucks early and did not return, but he appears to be dealing with some mild soreness. The veteran guard is having a strong start to January, hitting 48.3 percent from beyond the arc over his last six appearances.

Magic's Jett Howard: Iffy for Sunday
Howard (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the 76ers.
Howard left Friday's game against the Bucks early and has since been diagnosed with a left ankle sprain. With Orlando getting Paolo Banchero back from injury, Howard will find minutes hard to come by going forward.

Magic's Gary Harris: Won't play Sunday
Harris (hamstring) will not play Sunday against the 76ers.
No surprise here, as Harris will miss his sixth game in a row and remains without a timetable for a return. His next chance to play comes Wednesday against the Bucks.

Magic's Jalen Suggs: Ruled out for Sunday
Suggs (back) is listed as out for Sunday's game against the 76ers.
The Magic announced Thursday that a timeline on Suggs' return would depend on how he responds to treatment for a low back strain, so it's no surprise that he'll remain sidelined for the second leg of a back-to-back set. After Sunday's contest, the Magic are off until Wednesday in Milwaukee, so if Suggs is able to practice Tuesday, he could get the green light to play against the Bucks. Cole Anthony is likely to start at point guard in Suggs' stead Sunday and makes for a good streaming option for fantasy managers looking for help in the points, three-pointers and assists categories.

Magic's Cole Anthony: Hits for 18 in Friday's loss
Anthony logged 18 points (5-15 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 5-8 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 35 minutes during Friday's 109-106 loss to Milwaukee.
Making his fourth straight start, Anthony produced another solid stat line. He's supplied at least 12 points in all four starts, averaging 16.5 points, 5.3 boards, 2.8 assists, 2.0 threes, 1.5 blocks and 1.0 steals, and his role in the Orlando backcourt could grow even further if the knee injury Kentavious Caldwell-Pope picked up Friday ends up putting him on the shelf next to Jalen Suggs (back).

Magic's Tristan da Silva: First career double-double Friday
Da Silva accumulated 16 points (6-13 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds and two assists in 40 minutes during Friday's 109-106 loss to the Bucks.
The 18th overall pick in the 2024 Draft collected his first career double-double, but the more encouraging takeaway from da Silva's performance was that he kept his starting role and didn't see his usage decline significantly even though Paolo Banchero was back in the lineup for the first time since Oct. 30. That could change when Gary Harris (hamstring) gets healthy as well, but for now da Silva's spot seems fairly secure. Since moving into Orlando's starting five back on Dec. 8, the 23-year-old Colorado product has averaged 11.7 points, 5.1 boards, 2.0 assists and 1.5 threes while playing 30.7 minutes over 15 contests.

Magic's Paolo Banchero: Delivers 34 points in return
Banchero (oblique) closed with a team-high 34 points (11-21 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 7-10 FT) to go with seven rebounds, three assists, three steals and one block across 27 minutes during Friday's 109-106 loss to the Bucks.
The third-year forward had been out since Oct. 30 due to an oblique strain, but Banchero showed little rust in his return despite a slight minutes restriction, with his five triples representing a season high. He's only made six appearances this season, but he's topped 30 points in four of them, and he should resume seeing his usual workload as soon as Sunday against the 76ers.

Magic's Jett Howard: Leaves Friday's game early
Howard did not return to Friday's 109-106 loss to the Bucks due to a left ankle sprain. He finished with zero points and one assist over seven minutes.
Howard sprained his ankle late in the third quarter and ended up missing the final 12 minutes of the contest, even though Orlando never formally ruled him out. The injury puts the second-year forward at risk of missing Sunday's game against the 76ers. Howard had played at least 15 minutes off the bench in four of his last five outings prior to Friday's contest, but he could be at risk of falling out of the rotation once either or both of Gary Harris (hamstring) and Jalen Suggs (back) return to action.
