Suns' Bradley Beal: Officially ruled out
Beal (ankle) won't play in Thursday's game versus the Wizards.
Beal has been downgraded from doubtful to out Thursday due to a sprained left ankle. Grayson Allen, Ryan Dunn and Royce O'Neale are candidates to receive increased playing time in his absence. Beal's next chance to suit up is Saturday's matchup with Detroit.

Suns' Nick Richards: Out Thursday, should play Saturday
Richards (recently traded) has yet to join his teammates for Thursday's game versus the Wizards but will most likely be with them for Saturday's contest against the Pistons, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports.
Richards was traded from the Hornets to the Suns on Wednesday but will have to wait until at least Saturday to make his Phoenix debut. Jusuf Nurkic is currently dealing with an illness, but Richards will likely start at center for Phoenix regardless, as Nurkic had come off the bench in his previous two appearances behind Mason Plumlee.

Suns' Bradley Beal: Doubtful for Thursday
Beal (ankle) has been listed as doubtful for Thursday's game against the Wizards.
Beal suffered an ankle sprain in Tuesday's loss to the Hawks and now could miss Thursday's game in Washington. The Suns may be treading lightly with the veteran guard, considering his injury history and the team having another game Saturday on the road against the Pistons. If Beal doesn't play, Grayson Allen and Ryan Dunn could see more time on the floor for Phoenix.

Suns' Jusuf Nurkic: Listed as out for Thursday
Nurkic (illness) is out for Thursday's game against the Wizards.
After the Suns acquired Nick Richards in a trade with the Hornets on Wednesday, Nurkic's fantasy stock continues to plummet. Nurkic's next chance to play comes Saturday against Detroit, although it's unclear what kind of role he'll have upon returning. If Richards isn't able to join Phoenix's rotation in time for Thursday, Mason Plumlee should continue starting at center against Washington.

Suns' Nick Richards: Moving to Phoenix
The Suns acquired Richards and a 2025 second-round draft pick from the Hornets on Wednesday in exchange for forward Josh Okogie, a 2026 second-round draft picks and two 2031 second-round draft picks, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
With Mark Williams healthy and playing well, Richards had been relegated to a backup role over the last month for Charlotte, but he'll now likely get an opportunity to start in Phoenix. Jusuf Nurkic (illness) has fallen out of favor, resulting in Mason Plumlee starting nine straight games. Richards had played at least 24 minutes 10 times this season, averaging 12.8 points, 10.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.9 blocks in 28.1 minutes per game while shooting 62.9 percent from the field and 71.4 percent from the free-throw line during those contests. Richards' first chance to make his Suns debut will come in Washington on Thursday.

Dunn closed with 14 points (6-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-3 FT), two rebounds, one block and one steal over 22 minutes during Tuesday's 122-117 loss to the Hawks.
Dunn provided a spark offensively to a Phoenix squad that was searching for a third contributor behind Kevin Durant and Devin Booker, ending as one of four Suns players in double figures in scoring in a losing effort. Dunn has posted a double-digit point total in 10 contests this season, doing so in three straight appearances.

Durant did a little bit of everything in Tuesday's high-scoring contest, leading all Phoenix players in rebounds and blocks while handing out a team-high-tying assist total and finishing as one of two players with 30 or more points in a losing effort. Durant has reached the 30-point mark in 12 contests this season, adding at least eight rebounds in six of those outings.

Suns' Bradley Beal: Briefly exits Tuesday
Beal briefly exited Tuesday's game against the Hawks due to an apparent ankle injury and checked back in with 1:41 remaining in the third, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports.
Beal walked gingerly back to the locker room before quickly returning to the bench and eventually re-entering the game. The veteran swingman will likely be able to shoulder his normal workload the rest of the way, though the ankle could be something to monitor ahead of Thursday's game against Washington.

Suns' Grayson Allen: Good to go Tuesday
Allen (knee) is available for Tuesday's game against Atlanta, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports.
Allen sustained the left knee injury during Sunday's win over the Hornets, though he'll suit up without missing a single game Tuesday. Over his last five outings, the 29-year-old has averaged 13.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.0 assists across 21.8 minutes per contest.

Suns' Grayson Allen: Likely to play Tuesday vs. Hawks
Allen (knee) is listed as probable for Tuesday's game against Atlanta.
Allen didn't return to Sunday's 120-113 win over the Hornets after injuring his left knee in the second quarter, and he finished the game with 13 points, one rebound and two steals over 13 minutes. The injury doesn't appear to be severe, and he should be able to play in Tuesday's interconference battle. Allen is averaging 11.0 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 0.9 steals over 23.8 minutes per game this season.

Suns' Jusuf Nurkic: Out Tuesday, could miss more time
Nurkic (illness) is listed as out for Tuesday's game against the Hawks.
He also missed Sunday's 120-113 win over the Hornets, with Suns head coach Mike Budenholzer telling Doug Haller of The Athletic beforehand that the veteran center is battling the flu and was considered unlikely to join the team for the start of its five-game road trip that begins Tuesday in Atlanta. Budenholzer said Nurkic could rejoin the team at some point later on in the road trip, but the 30-year-old is unlikely to be part of the Phoenix rotation unless one of Mason Plumlee or Oso Ighodaro misses time. Before sitting out Sunday's game with the ailment, Nurkic didn't play in either of the Suns' previous two games in coach's decisions.

Suns' Kevin Durant: Stuffs stat sheet Sunday
Durant produced 27 points (11-24 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds, five assists and one steal across 40 minutes during Sunday's 120-113 win over the Hornets.
Devin Booker led the way for the Suns with a 30-point performance, but Durant made his presence felt on both ends of the court with an excellent display. The star forward continues to rank among the biggest offensive threats in the NBA in his 17th year in the league and has been on a roll over the last few weeks. He's notched 20 or more points in 15 games in a row, averaging 28.3 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game in that span.

Booker led the Suns in scoring but also excelled as a playmaker, with his eight assists leading the way for the team as well. The star guard has scored at least 30 points in three of his last four games, averaging 30.8 points, 8.5 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game during that span. He's expected to remain as the Suns' go-to scoring weapon going forward even when sharing the court with the likes of Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal, who was recently demoted to a bench role.

Dunn finished Sunday's 120-113 win over the Hornets with 11 points (4-5 FG, 3-4 3Pt), six rebounds, two assists and one steal over 27 minutes.
Dunn has started in each of the Suns' last six games, with the team going 4-2 in those contests. This was the fourth time he scored in double digits during that six-game stretch, and the rookie out of Virginia has found a way to produce on both ends of the court when given extended minutes. He's averaging 9.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 0.8 assists and a combined 1.3 steals-plus-blocks across 18 starts in 2024-25.
