Top Bryan Bulaga News

  • Bryan Bulaga: Retires with the Packers

Bulaga, who last played in 2021, has retired with the Packers, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

The offensive tackle was a first-round pick of Green Bay in 2010 and spent the next 10 seasons with the team, starting 111 of the 115 games he played in. Bulaga also started 10 games for the Chargers in 2020 before suffering a back injury the next year and getting waived in March 2022.

  • Bryan Bulaga: Gets waived

Bulaga (back) was waived by the Chargers on Tuesday, Jeff Miller of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Bulaga was waived with a failed physical designation, according to Doug Kyed of Pro Football Focus. After suffering a back injury in Week 1, Bulaga never returned to the field for the Chargers in 2021. The 11-year veteran will likely work to get healthy and catch on elsewhere, while the move should save the Chargers $10.75 million in cap space.

  • Chargers' Bryan Bulaga: Will return this season

Bulaga (back) is expected to return this season, Jeff Miller of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Bulaga first injured his back against Washington in the season opener and he hasn't been able to play since then. The offensive tackle ended up on the Chargers' IR after Week 1. Coach Brandon Staley is optimistic about Bulaga's chances of returning this season, but for now, Storm Norton will continue to start at right tackle.

  • Chargers' Bryan Bulaga: Undergoes back procedure

Bulaga underwent a procedure on his back Thursday, Jeff Miller of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Bulaga has been injury-prone throughout his career. He missed six games in 2020 during his first year with the Chargers, and he has already missed two contests this year. There's no clear timeline for his return, but he'll miss at least one more game because he's on injured reserve.

  • Chargers' Bryan Bulaga: Lands on IR

Bulaga has landed on the Chargers' IR list after injuring his back in Week 1's win over Washington.

Bulaga was forced to leave L.A.'s season opener early and will miss at least the next couple of games. Storm Norton should receive the start and extended snaps until Bulaga is healthy enough to return to the field.

  • Chargers' Bryan Bulaga: Considered day-to-day

Coach Brandon Staley said Monday that Bulaga (back) is considered day-to-day, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.

Bulaga left the season opener early and never returned. His availability for Week 2 will depend on how much he practices throughout the week. Storm Norton would slide into the starting lineup if Bulaga is unable to suit up.
