Browns' Jordan Hicks: Out for season finale
Hicks (concussion) is out for Saturday's game at Baltimore, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Hicks will have to sit out in Week 18 due to a concussion he suffered Sunday versus the Dolphins. He'll finish the 2024 season with 78 tackles (40 solo), including 2.0 sacks, along with four pass breakups.

Hicks (concussion) did not participate at practice Wednesday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Hicks suffered a concussion during Sunday's game versus the Dolphins, and now his status for Saturday's game at Baltimore is in doubt. He'll probably need to manage a practice Thursday to have a shot to play in Week 18.

Browns' Jordan Hicks: Enters concussion protocol
Hicks has been diagnosed with a concussion and has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Browns, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Hicks took a hit to the head in the first half of Sunday's game, and further tests concluded that the veteran linebacker suffered a concussion. He'll enter the league's five-step protocol, which he'll need to clear in order to play in the Browns' season finale against the Ravens next weekend.

Hicks has now logged nine or more total tackles in three of the Browns' last four games, accumulating 35 stops during that span. The veteran inside linebacker has missed four games this season due to elbow and triceps injuries, but he's still tallied 71 total tackles, including 2.0 sacks, and four passes defended in 11 appearances. Hicks is expected to remain one of the Browns' top inside linebackers in Week 17, when the Dolphins travel to Cleveland.

Hicks led Cleveland's linebackers in snaps (60) in Week 12, and he came up with his second sack of the year in the first quarter. His overall production is still lagging behind the standard he has set for himself in past seasons though, keeping him off the IDP map in most formats going into a Week 13 game at Denver.
