  • Lions' Alim McNeill: Being evaluated for concussion

McNeill (head) left in the first quarter of Thursday's game and is being evaluated for a concussion, Colton Pouncy of The Athletic reports. McNeill was forced to leave Thursday's game after taking a hit to the head while making a tackle on Josh Jacobs on the Packers' first offensive drive. The Lions are already without DJ Reader (shoulder), Levi Onwuzurike (hamstring) and Josh Paschal (knee) for Thursday's game, so Brodric Martin should see more snaps at defensive tackle for as long as McNeill is sidelined.

  • Lions' Jamal Adams: Elevated for TNF

Detroit elevated Adams from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of Thursday night's game against Green Bay. Adams started the 2024 regular season on the Titans' active roster, but after being placed on the reserve/non-football injury list Oct. 12, his request for a release was granted five days later. The veteran safety signed with the Lions' practice squad Sunday, and he'll appear in just his fourth game of the 2024 campaign Thursday. Adams gives the Lions depth in the secondary behind starting safeties Brian Branch and Kerby Joseph.

  • Lions' Josh Paschal: Sidelined for Week 14

Paschal (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Thursday night's matchup against the Packers, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports. Paschal didn't practice all week after suffering a knee injury in Detroit's Thanksgiving Day win over the Bears, so it's no surprise he won't be active for Week 14. The Lions could struggle rushing the passer Thursday night, with both Paschal and Aidan Hutchinson (tibia/fibula) sidelined. Patrick O'Connor and Za'Darius Smith are now expected to serve as Detroit's primary edge-rushing duo.

  • Lions' Levi Onwuzurike: Ruled out for Week 14

Onwuzurike (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of Thursday night's matchup against the Packers, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports. The 26-year-old sustained a hamstring injury in the Lions' Thanksgiving Day win over the Bears and was unable to practice throughout the week. With both Owunzurike and DJ Reader (shoulder) ruled out for Thursday night's divisional matchup, Myles Adams and Brodric Martin will likely see increased snaps with Detroit's first-team defense.

  • Lions' DJ Reader: Won't play Thursday

Reader (shoulder) has been ruled out ahead of Thursday night's matchup against the Packers, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports. Reader was unable to practice all week after likely sustaining a shoulder injury in the Lions' Week 13 win over the Bears, so it's no surprise he won't suit up for Thursday night's divisional matchup. Brodric Martin is expected to serve as one of Detroit's first-team interior defensive linemen in Reader's stead in Week 14.

  • Lions' Carlton Davis: Logs full practice Tuesday

Davis (knee) was a full participant in Tuesday's practice. Davis looks to be on track to return from a one-game absence due to a knee injury he suffered in Week 12 against the Colts. The 2018 second-round pick has logged 51 tackles (40 solo) and 10 pass defenses (including two interceptions) across 11 regular-season games in his first season in Detroit.

  • Lions' Carlton Davis: Opens week with limited work

Davis (knee) was a limited participant in Monday's practice. Davis was sidelined for the Lions' Week 13 win over the Bears after sustaining a knee injury the week prior. Monday's limited practice session suggests that the first-year Lion has a chance to return for the Week 14 divisional matchup against the Packers. However, his participation Tuesday and Wednesday will likely offer the best insight into whether he can suit for Thursday night's contest.

  • Lions' Josh Paschal: Listed as DNP on Monday

Paschal (knee) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's practice report, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports. Despite Monday's DNP, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reported that the knee injury Paschal sustained in Detroit's Week 13 win over the Bears isn't believed to be serious. The Lions are already thin at edge rusher, with Aidan Hutchinson (tibia/fibula) sidelined for the remainder of the regular-season. Paschal is likely in jeopardy of missing Detroit's divisional matchup against the Packers on Thursday night, even if he manages to upgrade to limited practice participation Tuesday or Wednesday.

  • Lions' Levi Onwuzurike: Still nursing hamstring injury

Onwuzurike (hamstring) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's practice report, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports. The fourth-year defensive lineman from Washington was unable to return to the Lions' Week 13 win over the Bears after sustaining a hamstring injury, so Monday's DNP listing comes as no surprise. He likely needs to upgrade to at least limited participation Tuesday or Wednesday in order to play in Thursday night's divisional matchup against the Packers.

  • Lions' DJ Reader: Listed as DNP

Reader (shoulder) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's practice report, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports. Reader played 32 defensive snaps and recorded 2.0 sacks in the Lions' Thanksgiving Day win over the Bears. However, it now appears he picked up a shoulder injury in the process. His practice participation Tuesday and Wednesday will likely provide the best indication of whether he can suit up for Detroit's Week 14 divisional matchup against the Packers on Thursday night.

Paschal will require some rehab for the knee injury, but it isn't believed to be season-ending. The third-year pro ends his season with 43 tackles (27 solo), including 2.0 sacks, and a defensed pass. Wingo sustained a knee injury during Sunday's win against the Bears. Before sitting out Week 9 due to an ankle injury, Wingo was a regular part of the Lions' rotation at defensive tackle, but he mostly has fallen off since returning Week 10, recording two tackles over the last three contests. He may have been pressed into action after Levi Onwuzurike was ruled out with a hamstring issue, but Wingo now is dealing with a health concern himself.
