  • Chiefs' Chamarri Conner: Active in close win

Conner finished with seven tackles (six solo) in the Chiefs' 19-17 win over the Raiders on Friday. The slot cornerback and second-year pro also played on more than 70 percent of the defensive snaps for the fifth game in a row and for the sixth time this season. In a larger role, Conner has already exceeded his numbers from his rookie year in every major statistical category, posting 59 tackles (45 solo), including 1.0 sacks, four passes defensed, including two interceptions, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in 2024. He should continue to play his slot-corner role in next week's divisional matchup against the Chargers.

  • Chiefs' Chris Jones: Notches first sacks since Week 4

Jones logged six tackles (three solo), including 2.0 sacks, in Friday's 19-17 win against the Raiders. Jones had been uncharacteristically quiet on the sack front coming into Friday, going seven games in a row without a sack. However, he got to Raiders QB Aidan O'Connell twice in the second quarter Friday. Bolton now has 5.0 sacks on the season, so he'll need to go on a run over Kansas City's final five regular-season games to reach double-digit sacks for the third straight campaign.

The star linebacker briefly left the game with a possible injury at the end of the first quarter but missed only a few plays. Bolton also recovered a fumble on a botched snap with 15 seconds remaining in the contest, ending Las Vegas' comeback bid.

  • Chiefs' Cam Jones: Questionable to play Friday

Jones (illness) has been deemed questionable to suit up in Friday's Week 13 matchup against the Raiders. Jones has been dealing with an illness and was held out of the first two practices this week. However, he was estimated as a full participant during Thursday's walkthrough, which bodes well for his chance of playing Friday. Jones has been a fixture on special teams this season but has yet to play a defensive snap through 11 contests.

  • Cameron Thomas: Let go by Kansas City

The Chiefs waived Thomas on Tuesday. Thomas was traded by the Cardinals to the Chiefs in late August in exchange for a seventh-round pick. He appeared in only four regular-season games -- mostly on special teams -- and did not record a stat. Thomas' removal from the Chiefs' 53-man roster indicates that Charles Omenihu (knee) is likely to be activated off the PUP list ahead of Friday's game against the Raiders.

  • Chiefs' Charles Omenihu: Practices in full Tuesday

Omenihu (knee) was a full participant in Tuesday's practice. Tuesday was the first time Omenihu logged a full practice since being designated to return from the Chiefs' PUP list Nov. 13. The Chiefs waived backup defensive end Cameron Thomas on Tuesday, indicating that Omenihu is on track to make his 2024 regular-season debut Friday against the Raiders. Johnson recorded eight tackles (five solo) and a pass defensed during Sunday's 30-27 win at Carolina. Johnson played nearly all of Kansas City's defensive snaps in Week 12, and he posted eight-plus tackles for the third straight game. If he plays a similarly significant role in Week 13 versus the Raiders, he'll project as a good IDP play in most formats.

Coach Andy Reid said Wednesday that Omenihu (knee) is unlikely to play in Week 11 at Buffalo, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports. Omenihu, who has been recovering from a torn ACL, was just cleared to return to practice Wednesday, so it won't be a huge surprise if he's not able to suit up for game action right off the bat. If he can't go in Week 11, his next chance to play would be in Week 12 at Carolina.
