Maye recorded three total tackles (one solo) and an interception in Sunday's 17-13 win over the Falcons.
Maye was claimed by the Chargers on Wednesday and he was able to make a major impact in his team debut, picking off Kirk Cousins in the fourth quarter. The safety played 19 of the team's 76 defensive snaps in the contest and will likely operate in a similar role moving forward with Los Angeles.

Chargers' Marcus Maye: Claimed by Bolts
The Chargers claimed Maye off waivers Wednesday.
Maye was waived by Miami on Tuesday despite appearing in all 11 regular-season games and logging 30 tackles (13 solo) and one pass defense. Maye's addition to the Chargers' 53-man roster will provide much-needed depth in the secondary after Eli Apple (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve in a corresponding move Wednesday.

Dolphins' Marcus Maye: Back in AFC East
Maye (shoulder) signed a contract with the Dolphins on Monday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
After spending five years in New York with the Jets, Maye suited up for 12 games with the Saints over the previous two seasons. His relatively low game total was due to the fact that he dealt with a lingering shoulder injury, but his addition to Miami's roster indicates his health is back up to par. The veteran free safety will look to make an impression going forward and earn a depth role in the Fins' secondary.

Marcus Maye: Cut loose by Saints
The Saints intend to release Maye (shoulder) at the start of the new league year, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
Maye has struggled with injuries for the last three seasons -- two of which came with New Orleans -- during which he's combined to play in only 23 games. The move could save the Saints up to $7.2 million in cap space. Meanwhile, Maye will likely have to settle for a short-term deal in the hopes of proving he can stay on the field.

Maye (shoulder) logged 37 tackles, including one sack, and two interceptions across seven appearances during the 2023 campaign.
Maye ended the season on IR with a shoulder injury after being hampered by issues throughout the campaign. As a result, the 30-year-old played seven or fewer games for the third time in the last six seasons.
