Cowboys' Malik Hooker: Moves to IR
Hooker (toe) was placed on injured reserve Saturday.
Hooker was spotted in a walking boot after suffering a toe injury in Dallas' Week 4 tie against the Packers. Additionally, the Ohio State product was unable to practice all week, so his shift to IR comes as no surprise. While the veteran is sidelined for at least Dallas' next four games, Juanyeh Thomas is expected to step in and start at free safety.

Cowboys' Malik Hooker: Won't play Week 5
Hooker (toe) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jets, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Hooker sustained a toe injury during the Cowboys' 40-40 overtime tie with the Packers in Week 4. He was spotted in a walking boot Wednesday, and defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus confirmed Thursday that the veteran safety will not play against the Jets. Juanyeh Thomas played a season-high 51 defensive snaps in Week 4, and he figures to be the leading candidate to start alongside Donovan Wilson at safety due to Hooker's injury.

Hooker (toe) was spotted in a protective boot Wednesday and is unlikely to play in Sunday's matchup against the Jets, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
The veteran safety from Ohio State sustained a toe injury in the Week 4 tie against the Packers and was expected to miss a couple of weeks, so it's no surprise that he'll likely be sidelined Sunday. Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer said Monday that Hooker (toe) is still being evaluated but could miss a couple weeks due to the toe injury he sustained during Sunday night's 40-40 overtime tie with the Packers, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Hooker was forced out of Sunday's tie in the second quarter, though he managed to tally four tackles (two solo) before leaving the field. It doesn't sound as though the veteran safety's injury is severe enough that it might require a stint on IR, but his status for Week 5 against the Jets and potentially Week 6 against the Panthers remains up in the air.
