Kizer was cut from Titans' practice squad Monday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Kizer spent the early portions of training camp with the Titans but was ultimately cut. He rejoined the team prior to its Week 12 matchup against New England, but he will be looking for a new opportunity around the league once again.

DeShone Kizer: Back on Tennessee's practice squad
Kizer signed with the Titans' practiced squad Friday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.
Kizer was with the Titans in camp but ultimately failed to make the team. The familiar face returns to provide depth under center while fellow reserve quarterback Logan Woodside is on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

DeShone Kizer: End of the road in Tennessee
The Titans will cut Kizer on Thursday, John Glennon of BroadwaySportsMedia.com reports.
Kizer's departure will free up a roster spot for veteran signal-caller Matt Barkley. It appears that Kizer lost out in his competition with Logan Woodside during the early portion of training camp, prompting the Titans to move on. The 25-year-old hasn't appeared in an NFL game since 2018, when he logged three unimpressive appearances in Green Bay.

Titans' DeShone Kizer: Impresses at minicamp
Kizer impressed during the Titans' OTAs and minicamp, Turran Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
Kizer reportedly looked good with his mid-range throws and routes across the middle. He spent last season as the Titans' "quarantine QB" and worked with quarterback coach Pat O'Hara. The work has seemingly paid off, as he displayed quick decision-making during camp. He is now set to compete with incumbent backup Logan Woodside to be the No. 2 option under center.

Titans' DeShone Kizer: Inks future contract with Titans
Kizer signed a reserve/future contract with the Titans on Monday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.
Kizer was cut from the Raiders' practice squad in September and eventually latched on with the Titans' practice roster in late November. The 25-year-old quarterback never was called up for any game action, and he hasn't played since logging three games with the Packers back in 2018. In those contests, Kizer completed 20 of 42 passes for 187 yards (4.5 YPA), no touchdowns and two interceptions. The 2017 second-round pick will battle to be Ryan Tannehill's backup next season.
