  • Lions' Brodric Martin: Set to return

Martin (knee) was activated from injured reserve Wednesday.

Martin practiced in full last week, but he remained on IR. Considering the Western Kentucky product hasn't played yet this season, he may have needed extra conditioning time. However, his move to the 53-man roster suggests he should be good to go for Sunday's game against the Colts.

  • Lions' Brodric Martin: Missing Week 11

Martin (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Jaguars.

Martin was a full participant in practice for the second consecutive week; however, he has yet to be activated to the Lions' active roster and will remain out in Week 11. Mekhi Wingo is expected to continue working as one of Detroit's top backup defensive linemen until Martin returns.

Martin (leg) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Texans.

  • Lions' Brodric Martin: Starts season on IR

Martin (leg) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday.

Martin suffered the injury in the team's preseason finale, which will force him to miss at least the first four weeks of the season. The second-year pro will be eligible to return Oct. 13 against the Cowboys, if he is healthy enough to do so.

  • Lions' Brodric Martin: Sustains injury vs. Pittsburgh

Martin did not return to Saturday's presason game against the Steelers due to a leg injury, Nolan Bianchi of The Detroit News reports.

Martin limped off the field after being checked out with trainers and was diagnosed with a hyperextension, per Kyle Meinke of MLive.com. The 2023 third-round pick is battling for a depth spot at defensive tackle behind presumptive starters Alim McNeill and DJ Reader (quadriceps). Martin played in three regular-season games in his rookie year, finishing with three tackles (one solo).
