Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Catches touchdown vs. Falcons
Rotowire
Tremble caught two of his three targets for 30 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 44-38 overtime win over the Falcons.
The 24-year-old capped off his 2024 campaign on a high note Sunday, recording his third-highest receiving yardage total of the season and hauling in his second touchdown. However, Tremble was outpaced by rookie tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders, who logged three catches for 35 yards on five targets, marking the second time Sanders has surpassed him since returning from a neck injury in the Week 14 loss to the Eagles. Tremble appeared in 12 games for the Panthers this season, catching 23 of his 32 targets for 234 yards and two touchdowns.

Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Cleared to play Week 17
Rotowire
Tremble (shoulder/back) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Buccaneers.
Tremble once again should lead the Panthers' tight end group in playing time Week 17 after he played 75 percent of the offensive snaps last week against the Cardinals. He hasn't been a reliable source of fantasy production this season, as he's currently the overall TE38 in PPR points per game.

Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Pops up on Thursday's injury report
Rotowire
Tremble (shoulder/back) was listed as a limited practice participant on Thursday's injury report.
Tremble didn't appear on Wednesday's injury report (which was a reflection of the Panthers' half-speed practice Tuesday), but it appears he is working through shoulder and back injuries that he might have picked up during Carolina's Week 16 overtime win over Arizona. Tremble's practice participation Friday will indicate his status heading into Sunday's NFC South clash against the Buccaneers. Rookie fourth-round pick Ja'Tavion Sanders would see an increased snap count on offense if Tremble is unable to play Sunday.

Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Catches touchdown vs. Eagles
Rotowire
Tremble caught one of his two targets for three yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 22-16 loss to the Eagles.
Tremble's lone catch in Sunday's loss was a touchdown, as he hauled in a pass from Bryce Young to give the Panthers a 10-7 lead in the second quarter. The Notre Dame product posted a modest yardage total but still led Carolina's tight-end corps in yards and catches. Meanwhile, rookie Ja'Tavion Sanders returned from a neck injury in Week 14 and failed to haul in his only target. Tremble's performances have been inconsistent throughout the season, and he and Sanders will likely continue to split opportunities as the Panthers' top receiving tight ends moving forward.

Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Quiet in loss
Rotowire
Tremble caught one of his two targets for five yards in Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Chiefs.
Despite an increased workload in the second half of Sunday's loss after Ja'Tavion Sanders (neck) exited with an injury, Tremble didn't produce much offensively. The Notre Dame product has now appeared in six games this season, catching 10 of his 14 targets for 77 yards. He could continue to see an expanded offensive role if Sanders is sidelined for the Week 13 matchup against the Buccaneers.

Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Comes off injury report
Rotowire
Tremble (back) didn't appear on the Panthers' initial Week 12 injury report released Wednesday.
The Notre Dame product has missed four of the Panthers' last five games due to a concussion and a back injury. However, his absence from Carolina's injury report Wednesday suggests that the team's Week 11 bye provided enough time for him to recover from his back issue. With Tremble back to full health, he's expected to work in tandem at tight end with rookie Ja'Tavion Sanders in Sunday's game against the Chiefs.

Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Sitting out in Germany
Rotowire
Tremble (back) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Giants in Munich, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Tremble will be sidelined for the fifth time in 10 games on the season, with the back issue causing the last three absences. With Tremble sidelined in Germany, rookie Ja'Tavion Sanders should start at tight end and dominate the playing time after he logged 84 percent of the snaps in a Week 9 win over the Saints and finished with four catches for 87 yards on five targets.

Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Limited at Thursday's practice
Rotowire
Tremble (back) was a limited participant at practice Thursday.
Tremble logged a full practice Wednesday, but it's unclear if his downgrade to limited activity was the result of a setback or part of a maintenance program. The Panthers will provide a final update on Tremble's status for Sunday's game against the Giants in Munich when they release their final injury report of the week Friday.

Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Full practice participant
Rotowire
Tremble (back) was a full practice participant Wednesday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Tremble missed three of the past four games with a concussion and then a back injury, including the Panthers' 23-22 win over the Saints this past Sunday. He hasn't seen many targets this season, but his availability (or lack thereof) has been a major factor in determining rookie Ja'Tavion Sanders' playing time. The Panthers may start to give Sanders more snaps even when Tremble is healthy, after the rookie caught four of five targets for a career-high 87 yards in the win over New Orleans. In any case, Tremble is set to return this Sunday against the Giants in Munich.

Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Sitting out Sunday
Rotowire
Tremble (back) is listed as inactive Sunday versus the Saints, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Tremble now is sidelined for a third time in the last four games due to a back injury, and with Feleipe Franks (concussion) also out, the Panthers will rely on Ja'Tavion Sanders, Ian Thomas and practice-squad elevation Jordan Matthews at tight end Week 9.

Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Receives questionable tag for Sunday
Rotowire
Tremble (back) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Saints, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
After missing games in Week 6 and 7 due to the back injury, Tremble returned to the lineup for this past Sunday's loss to Denver, playing 57 percent of the snaps on offense while recording two catches for 13 yards on three targets. The back issue has still been affecting Tremble's practice time, as he was a non-participant in Wednesday's session before returning to the field Thursday as a limited participant. He submitted a full practice Friday, however, and provided he didn't experience any setbacks, Tremble will likely be cleared to play Sunday. He'll presumably be splitting work at tight end with rookie Ja'Tavion Sanders in Week 9.

Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Officially active in Week 8
Rotowire
Tremble (back) is active for Sunday's Week 8 matchup against the Broncos, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
The fourth-year tight end has missed the last two games with his back injury and a concussion, but he'll return to action Sunday after logging at least a limited practice on each day of Week 8 prep. With Tremble healthy again, he'll return to a crowded tight-end corps that also includes emerging rookie Ja'Tavion Sanders and veteran Ian Thomas.

Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Questionable after full practice
Rotowire
Tremble (back) practiced in full Friday and is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Broncos.
Tremble cleared the concussion protocol Week 7, but his back injury nonetheless forced him to miss a second consecutive contest. Now, after having logged an LP-LP-FP practice pattern leading up to Week 8 action, Tremble appears to have a solid chance to retake the field on the road versus Denver. Rookie tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders has impressed with Tremble sidelined and is clear of the injury report himself, so if both TEs manage to take the field Sunday, it will be significant to note how offensive reps are divvied up.

Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Limited in practice again
Rotowire
Tremble (back) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
Tremble has missed two straight games, though he cleared the concussion protocol last week. The veteran tight end will now need to overcome a back issue in order to suit up Sunday versus Denver, a game that will feature Bryce Young back under center. Rookie tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders (groin/wrist) also practiced on a limited basis to open Week 8 prep.

Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Working through back injury
Rotowire
Tremble (back) was a limited practice participant Wednesday.
Tremble cleared concussion protocol last week but nonetheless missed a second straight game, sitting out of a 40-7 loss to the Commanders due to a back injury. Rookie tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders (groin/wrist) has been one of Carolina's few bright spots in recent weeks while running routes on about three-fourths of the pass snaps, so Tremble may be in store for a smaller role once he's ready to return.

Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Inactive Sunday
Rotowire
Tremble (back) is listed as inactive for Sunday's matchup against the Commanders, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official website reports.
Tremble cleared the league's five-step concussion protocol Friday, but he remained questionable. He was ultimately unable to do enough to suit up for Sunday's contest. In his absence, Ja'Tavion Sanders and Ian Thomas will fill in at tight end.

Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Limited to start week
Rotowire
Tremble (concussion) practiced as a limited participant Wednesday.
Tremble didn't practice in any capacity prior to being ruled out for Carolina's loss to Atlanta in Week 6, so it's encouraging to see him handling some reps to kick off Week 7 prep. The veteran tight end will need to fully clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol in order to take the field Sunday on the road against Washington. Rookie fourth-round pick Ja'Tavion Sanders caught five of seven targets for 49 yards while serving as Carolina's top tight end in Tremble's absence against Atlanta.

Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Ruled out
Rotowire
Tremble (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Atlanta.
Tremble was concussed in the first half of last Sunday's 36-10 loss to Chicago, leaving fellow tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders in an every-down role after halftime. Tremble didn't practice at all this week, while TE Ian Thomas (calf) participated for a second straight week and is listed as questionable to make his return from injured reserve. If he plays, Thomas likely will get some of the snaps that went to Sanders last week.

Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Not practicing
Rotowire
Tremble (concussion) didn't practice Thursday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Ja'Tavion Sanders played nearly every snap after Tremble entered concussion protocol during Sunday's loss to Chicago, but Sanders won't necessarily have the same role if Tremble is absent this weekend against Atlanta, as fellow tight end Ian Thomas (calf) may be ready to come off injured reserve. Thomas was a full practice participant Wednesday and a limited participant Thursday.

Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Sits out Wednesday
Rotowire
Tremble (concussion) didn't take part in Wednesday's practice, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Tremble endured a helmet-to-helmet hit from Bears safety Jaquan Brisker this past Sunday, which resulted in the tight end entering the concussion protocol. With just two more chances to mix into drills this week, he could be hard-pressed to put himself in a position to play Sunday against the Falcons. Meanwhile, fellow tight end Ian Thomas (calf) -- who remains on injured reserve -- practiced fully Wednesday, and head coach Dave Canales said that Thomas "absolutely" has a chance to return this weekend, per Steve Reed of the Associated Press. If that comes to pass, the Panthers may have to roll with Thomas, Ja'Tavion Sanders and Feleipe Franks as their options at the position for Week 6.
