  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Late loss in overtime

Bobrovsky made 14 saves in a 4-3 overtime loss to Boston on Saturday. David Pastrnak tallied the game-winner in the final seconds of overtime to hand Bobrovsky the loss despite Florida's territorial domination. The Panthers outshot the Bruins by a 43-18 margin in Saturday's defeat. Bobrovsky's record falls to 18-9-2 with a 2.73 GAA and a .900 save percentage through 29 appearances this season.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Gets starting nod for Saturday

Bobrovsky will be between the pipes for Saturday's home clash with Boston, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports. Bobrovsky has allowed three or fewer goals in each of his last seven appearances, posting a 4-3-0 record, 1.86 GAA and .940 save percentage. In each of those defeats, the backstop was let down by his offense, who combined for just two goals in those three outings. Despite the recent record, Bobrovsky's metrics remain off the charts, which should have him in Vezina Trophy contention once again at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Holds firm against Utah

Bobrovsky allowed one goal on 27 shots in Wednesday's 4-1 win over Utah. Bobrovsky gave up a third-period power-play goal to Logan Cooley, which cut the Panthers' lead to 2-1 at the time. A pair of empty-netters provided some late help. The Panthers' usually formidable offense has been limited to 14 goals over the last seven games, and Bobrovsky has gone 2-3-0 with 11 goals allowed over his five starts in that span. He's now 18-9-1 with a 2.69 GAA and a .903 save percentage through 28 starts this season. The Panthers' next game is at home Saturday versus the Bruins.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Set to face Utah

Bobrovsky is expected to start on the road against Utah on Wednesday. Bobrovsky has lost his past two starts, but that's due to a lack of offensive support rather than struggles on his part. In fact, he was solid over those two outings, stopping 68 of 72 shots (.944 save percentage). Perhaps Florida will give him more help Wednesday -- the Panthers do rank 10th in goals per game with 3.24, so their recent issues are unusual. Utah ranks 22nd with 2.90 goals per game.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Tough loss to Avs

Bobrovsky stopped 31 of 33 shots in Monday's 3-1 loss to the Avalanche, with Colorado's final goal getting scored into an empty net. The veteran netminder had a shutout going late in the second period until Devon Toews' point shot hit the crossbar, bounced off the ice and then caromed into the net off Bobrovsky's backside to tie the game at 1-1. Toews then scored again midway through the third, and the Panthers couldn't find a response. Bobrovsky has lost three of his last four starts despite playing well due to a sudden lack of offensive support -- the Panthers scored just two goals total in those four games. Over his last 10 outings, Bobrovsky is 6-4-0 with a 2.28 GAA and a .919 save percentage.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Between pipes against Avalanche

Bobrovsky will tend the twine for Monday's road game against Colorado. Bobrovsky hasn't allowed more than three goals in any of his last six appearances but has gone 4-2-0 in that span. Still, with 17 wins in 26 outings, the 36-year-old Russian is primed to reach the 30-win mark for the third time in the last four seasons. While it's possible Spencer Knight gets a few extra starts to keep Bobrovsky well rested, the veteran is the clear No. 1 option for Florida.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Takes tough loss to Canes

Bobrovsky stopped 37 of 39 shots in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Hurricanes, with Carolina's final goal getting scored into an empty net. Neither goal could be blamed on the veteran netminder -- the first deflected in off Aleksander Barkov, while the second was scored when Bobrovsky was impeded in his crease by Jesperi Kotkaniemi, who was pinned to the ice by Matthew Tkachuk. Bobrovsky has been sharp overall since rejoining the Panthers in early December following the birth of his child. Over his last nine starts, he's gone 6-3-0 with a 2.31 GAA and .917 save percentage.

Bobrovsky will be between the pipes at home versus Carolina on Thursday. Bobrovsky appeared in eight of the Panthers' 13 games in December, posting a 6-2-0 record and 2.34 GAA. The veteran netminder currently sits tied for third in victories this season behind Connor Hellebuyck (24) and Jacob Markstrom (19). Bobrovsky is on pace to reach the 50-game mark for the fourth consecutive season and should also cruise to the 30-win mark.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Snags 17th win

Bobrovsky made 33 saves in Monday's 5-3 win over the Rangers. He was the busier of the two goalies, and Bobrovsky squandered 2-0 and 3-2 leads, but he came up with enough big stops to secure his 17th victory of the season. Since returning to the Panthers following the birth of his child earlier this month, Bobrovsky has gone 6-2-0 in eight starts with a 2.34 GAA and a .911 save percentage.

Bobrovsky stopped 25 of 28 shots in Monday's 4-0 loss to the Lightning. Tampa Bay's final goal was scored into an empty net. The Bolts struck early and grabbed a 3-0 lead in the first period, and while Bobrovsky shut the door the rest of the way, the Panthers' offense never woke up. It was only the second loss for the veteran netminder across his last nine starts, a stretch in which Bobrovsky has compiled a 2.19 GAA and a .914 save percentage.

The 36-year-old has picked up wins in five of his six starts this month, going 5-1-0 with a 2.11 GAA and .913 save percentage during that time. The 36-year-old netminder is 15-6-1 with a 2.89 GAA and an .892 save percentage this season. He will face the Blues, who have scored only 86 times in 34 contests this season.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Outstanding in win over Minnesota

Bobrovsky stopped 26 of 27 shots in Wednesday's 6-1 win over the Wild. Bobrovsky not only secured the win in spectacular fashion, but he also provided a bounce-back effort following the 6-5 win over Edmonton on Monday, where he stopped 25 of 30 shots. The 36-year-old veteran might have a few off games here and there, but he's been playing at a high level of late. He's gone 4-1-0 over his last five starts, recording a 2.36 GAA and a .902 save percentage in that stretch. He's allowed one or fewer goals in three of those wins, so he's clearly trending in the right direction after an uneven November where he posted an .888 save percentage across nine starts (6-3-0, 3.11 GAA).

Bobrovsky will tend the twine for Wednesday's road game against Minnesota, Jessi Pierce of NHL.com reports. • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Hangs on for 14th win

Bobrovsky turned aside 25 shots in Monday's 6-5 win over the Oilers. Neither goalie got much help in this one, but after Edmonton took a 4-2 lead midway through the second period, Bobrovsky buckled down and gave Florida a chance to roar back. The 36-year-old has won five of his last six starts, boosting his record on the season to 14-6-1, but consistency has eluded Bobrovsky so far in 2024-25, as he's given up four or more goals in eight of his 21 outings, leaving him with a 2.98 GAA and an .889 save percentage.

Bobrovsky will defend the cage on the road versus Edmonton on Monday. Bobrovsky continues to string together some strong performances this season, going 4-1-0 with a 1.97 GAA in his last five outings. With just one back-to-back on the schedule before the Christmas break, the 36-year-old netminder could feature in four of the Cats' next five outings -- especially with some extra time off due to the holiday.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Poor showing in loss

Bobrovsky stopped 15 of 19 shots in Thursday's 4-0 loss to the Canucks. Bobrovsky was hardly the only Panther to struggle, but his performance was poor. The 36-year-old dropped to 13-6-1 with a 2.87 GAA and an .892 save percentage over 20 appearances this season. The Panthers' road trip continues with an easier matchup Saturday in Calgary.
