With the state of Philadelphia's defense, he is set to face a high volume of shots moving forward. Ersson's inconsistencies in net make him a tough option to trust as an everyday starter in fantasy. However, he has some value as a streaming option with the right matchup. Ersson's next opportunity to defend the crease is on home ice Thursday against the Capitals.

The Swedish goaltender has lost back-to-back contests and three of his last four after earning five consecutive wins, which included one shutout. On the season, Ersson holds a 15-10-2 record, .892 save percentage and 2.84 GAA through 29 appearances. The 25-year-old will probably draw the start Tuesday when Philadelphia concludes its brief two-game road trip in Utah.

After a scoreless first frame, the Flyers' defense completely collapsed in the second, and Ersson gave up two power-play tallies plus a goal on a coast-to-coast effort by Luke Hughes before mercifully being lifted. It was Ersson's second loss in his last three starts, a stretch in which he's been beaten 11 times on 85 shots (.871 save percentage). Head coach John Tortorella can sometimes have little patience with his goalies, so Ersson may need to turn things around quickly to keep hold of the No. 1 job and avoid falling into a timeshare with Fedotov.
