Bruins' Riley Tufte: Lights lamp in season debut
Tufte scored a power-play goal in Monday's 3-1 loss to the Hurricanes.
The 27-year-old winger spoiled Pyotr Kochetkov's shutout bid with only 10 seconds left in the third period by banging home the puck during a scrum in front of the Carolina net. Promoted from AHL Providence earlier in the day, it was Tufte's first goal as a Bruin in seven contests -- he played six with Boston last season but didn't record a point. A first-round pick of the Stars in the 2016 NHL Draft, 25th overall, Tufte delivered 21 goals and 42 points in 58 games for Providence in 2024-25, but he's still looking to establish himself at the top level. Injuries to Elias Lindholm (lower body), Viktor Arvidsson (lower body) and Casey Mittelstadt (lower body) are giving him a chance.

Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Win streak ends Monday
Swayman stopped 29 shots in Monday's 3-1 loss to the Hurricanes.
After a scoreless first period, Carolina struck twice in the second with both goals getting jammed home from right on Swayman's doorstep, while the Boston offense didn't get a puck past Pyotr Kochetkov until there were 10 seconds left in the third. It was Swayman's first loss in November, and on the month he's gone 5-1-0 with a 2.47 GAA and .920 save percentage.

Bruins' John Beecher: Hits waivers
Beecher (upper body) was put on waivers Monday, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
After missing the last four games due to injury, Beecher will report to AHL Providence if he clears waivers to resume playing. He has earned one goal, six shots on net, four blocked shots and seven hits in six appearances with Boston this season.

Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: First off Monday
Swayman was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, Belle Fraser of the Bruins' official site reports, indicating he will patrol the home crease against Carolina on Monday.
Swayman has surrendered only 12 goals on 156 shots during his five-game winning streak, which started with a 28-save performance in a 2-1 victory over the Hurricanes on Nov. 1. He has posted a record of 8-4-0 with a 2.99 GAA and a .902 save percentage through 12 appearances this season. Carolina is tied for second in the league with 3.67 goals per game this campaign.

Bruins' Charlie McAvoy: No timeline for return
McAvoy (upper body) won't play against Carolina on Monday, and there is no timeline for his return to the lineup, Conor Ryan of The Boston Globe reports.
McAvoy is going through evaluations by doctors and could undergo surgery to address the issue. He was struck in the face by a slap shot from Canadiens defenseman Noah Dobson in the second period of Saturday's 3-2 win over Montreal. The 27-year-old McAvoy has 14 assists, 25 shots on goal, 32 blocked shots and 26 hits across 19 appearances this season.

Bruins' Riley Tufte: Summoned from AHL
Tufte was recalled from AHL Providence on Monday, per Belle Fraser of the Bruins' official site.
Tufte has eight goals and 16 points in 13 minor-league outings this season. Due to injuries to forwards Viktor Arvidsson (lower body), Elias Lindholm (lower body), John Beecher (upper body) and Casey Mittelstadt (lower body), the 27-year-old Tufte will probably make his NHL season debut in Monday's matchup against Carolina.

Bruins' Matej Blumel: Called up by Boston
Blumel was recalled from AHL Providence on Monday, Belle Fraser of the Bruins' official site reports.
Blumel was sent to the minors ahead of the regular season, but he'll join the NHL club after the Bruins placed several players on injured reserve Monday. He's made 13 regular-season appearances for the Stars over the past three seasons, logging two goals, 13 hits, three blocked shots and a minus-3 rating while averaging 9:01 of ice time.

Bruins' Jordan Harris: Moved to long-term IR
Harris (ankle) was shifted to long-term injured reserve Monday.
Harris has already been out of action for the Bruins' last 12 contests, so his placement on LTIR doesn't significantly impact his recovery timeline. The 25-year-old blueliner is currently expected to return in late December or early January. Even once given the all-clear, Harris is far from a lock to play on a nightly basis and could find himself serving as a healthy scratch periodically.

Bruins' Casey Mittelstadt: Moves to IR
Mittelstadt (lower body) was put on injured reserve Monday, according to Belle Fraser of the Bruins' official site.
Mittelstadt is week-to-week and has already missed the last four games. It remains unclear when he will be available to return to the lineup. Mittelstadt has collected four goals, nine points and 14 shots on net through 15 appearances this season.

Bruins' Viktor Arvidsson: Goes on injured reserve
Arvidsson (lower body) was put on injured reserve Monday, Belle Fraser of the Bruins' official site reports.
Arvidsson is week-to-week, according to Conor Ryan of The Boston Globe. However, it's unclear when the 32-year-old Arvidsson will be ready to return to the lineup after being injured in Saturday's 3-2 win over Montreal. He has supplied six goals, 10 points, 52 shots on net and 11 blocked shots through 20 appearances this season.

Bruins' Jeffrey Viel: Filling in for injured forwards
Viel has played in four straight games for the Bruins after suiting up in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Canadiens.
On the year, Viel has appeared in seven of the Bruins' 20 games, logging five shots on net, 24 hits, 11 PIM and a minus-2 rating. He'll likely get a look in the lineup while the team is missing all of Viktor Arvidsson (lower body), John Beecher (upper body), Elias Lindholm (lower body) and Casey Mittelstadt (lower body). Don't be surprised to see Viel head back to the press box once the Bruins near full health up front.

Bruins' Nikita Zadorov: Deals helper in win
Zadorov notched an assist, two blocked shots and nine PIM in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Canadiens.
Zadorov snapped a seven-game point drought by helping out on Marat Khusnutdinov's first-period tally. The 30-year-old Zadorov hasn't hesitated to mix things up this season either, and he showed that with a fight against Jayden Struble off the opening draw. For the season, Zadorov has five points, 19 shots on net, 68 hits, 40 PIM, 26 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over 20 appearances, making him a prime source of toughness for fantasy managers in need of that.

Bruins' Mason Lohrei: Buries goal Saturday
Lohrei scored a goal in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Canadiens.
Lohrei has a goal and three assists over four contests since returning from a five-game stint as a healthy scratch. He could be poised for a larger role if Charlie McAvoy (face) misses time following his early exit from Saturday's game. Lohrei is up to 10 points, 11 shots on net, 18 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating across 15 appearances. There's scoring upside here already, and that will increase if he lands more consistent power-play usage.

Bruins' Marat Khusnutdinov: Tallies opening goal
Khusnutdinov scored a goal in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Canadiens.
Khusnutdinov continues to grow more comfortable in a top-six role. He has two goals and two assists over his last six contests. His ice time isn't up among the Bruins' leaders among forwards, but he's playing a valuable role while Elias Lindholm (lower body) and Casey Mittelstadt (lower body) are out. For the season, Khusnutdinov has six points, 17 shots on net and an even plus-minus rating over 15 games. He's worth a look in deeper fantasy formats while seeing time on a line with David Pastrnak.

Bruins' David Pastrnak: Two helpers in Saturday's win
Pastrnak picked up two assists, one on the power play, in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Canadiens.
The Bruins star delivered his third straight multi-point performance, helping to set up tallies by Marat Khusnutdinov in the first period and Viktor Arvidsson in the second, the latter proving to be the game-winner. Pastrnak has produced more than 100 points in three straight seasons coming into 2025-26, and he's on pace to make it four straight with 11 goals and 26 points in 20 contests.

Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Win streak at five starts
Swayman stopped 26 shots in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Canadiens.
Boston came out on top in the Original Six battle, and Swayman was a big reason why. The 26-year-old netminder has won five straight starts, posting a 2.37 GAA and .923 save percentage during that stretch as he begins to live up to the big contract extension he signed right before the start of the 2024-25 season.

Bruins' Dans Locmelis: Tallies twice in AHL win
Locmelis scored two goals in AHL Providence's 3-2 overtime win over Utica on Saturday.
Locmelis opened the scoring with a shorthanded goal in the first period and netted the game-winner in overtime. This was his first multi-point effort of the season. Locmelis has five goals and three assists over 13 games in 2025-26. The Latvian had 12 points in six AHL regular-season outings at the tail end of last year after signing his entry-level contract -- while his pace is slower this year, he's still showing quite a bit of promise.
