The Bears placed Harris (triceps) on injured reserve Thursday, Larry Mayer of the team's official site reports.
Harris suffered what the Bears believe to be a torn triceps during Monday's loss to the Vikings, but the full severity of his issue hasn't yet been officially confirmed. The team has already claimed a replacement return specialist off waivers in DeAndre Carter.
