Mitchell was recalled from AHL Providence on Saturday, Mark Divver of the New England Hockey Journal reports.
Mitchell has been sent back and forth between the NHL and AHL frequently this season, though he could suit up Saturday against Minnesota if Matt Grzelcyk (upper body) can't play. Mitchell has two assists through 12 games this year.
