Mets' Pete Alonso: Belts sixth homer of 2025
Alonso went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and an RBI double in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Cardinals.
Alonso drove in two of the Mets' three runs Saturday, finishing things up with a solo homer off John King in the eighth inning. Alonso has 10 multi-hit games this season, four of which have come over his last six games. His 1.220 OPS ranks first in the National League and second in the majors behind Aaron Judge (1.236), and Alonso is third in the NL in both batting average (.356) and RBI (23).

Alonso took Twins right-hander Bailey Ober yard to give the Mets a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Mets' Pete Alonso: Clubs fourth homer
Alonso went 3-for-3 with a double, a home run and three RBI in Friday's 7-6 win over the A's.
The Polar Bear's eighth-inning solo shot off Jose Leclerc gave the Mets their final run of the night, and crucial insurance given Edwin Diaz stumbled in the ninth trying to protect a three-run lead. Alonso is one of the hottest hitters in the majors right now, and over the last 10 games he's batting .444 (16-for-36) with six doubles, four homers and 18 RBI.

Mets' Pete Alonso: Homers again in Friday's win
Alonso went 1-for-3 with a walk, a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 5-0 win over the Blue Jays.
Alonso did damage early, lifting a two-run blast off Kevin Gausman in the first inning to provide all the offense the Mets needed in this win. Alonso started the year 1-for-9 with three walks over the first three games, but he's logged six extra-base hits -- including three homers -- and 10 RBI over his last four contests. The first baseman should play pretty close to every day when healthy, as he got into all 162 games in 2024.

Mets' Pete Alonso: Blasts game-tying, three-run homer
Alonso went 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, two runs scored and a walk in Wednesday's 6-5 extra-inning win over Miami.
After doubling to plate a run in the first inning, Alonso blasted a three-run homer in the eighth inning to tie the game at 4-4. The star slugger is off to a fast start at the plate, slashing .286/.423/.667 with two long balls, two doubles and eight RBI over 21 at-bats. As long as he's hitting directly behind Francisco Lindor and Juan Soto, Alonso should see a great deal of RBI opportunities in 2025.

Mets' Pete Alonso: Breaks game open with grand slam
Alonso went 2-for-4 with a grand slam, a walk and an additional run scored in Monday's 10-4 win over Miami.
Alonso broke this one wide open in the fifth inning, taking Marlins right-hander Cal Quantrill deep to plate four runs and give the Mets a 6-1 lead. Monday marked the first home run and RBI of the young season for the star slugger, who has gone 3-for-14 (.231) with four walks through four games thus far. With Francisco Lindor and Juan Soto batting in front of him, Alonso should see plenty of RBI chances in 2025.

Mets' Pete Alonso: Finally goes yard this spring
Alonso went 1-for-4 with a walk and a three-run home run in Wednesday's Grapefruit League game against the Astros.
He crushed a pitch from Miguel Castro over the left-field fence in the sixth inning. It was Alonso's first long ball this spring, but he also has four doubles among his nine hits while batting .220 (9-for-41) with a 7:8 BB:K. The slugging first baseman appears to be getting his timing down just in time for Opening Day.
