Thomas spearheaded the Nationals' comeback, plating CJ Abrams with a game-tying double and then stealing third before scoring the go-ahead run on a Joey Meneses single. Thomas has generated at least one run and RBI in four consecutive games, going 7-for-19 with a pair of doubles, a triple and a home run during that stretch.

Thomas finished a home run shy of the cycle as he stuffed the stat sheet Friday. He knocked an RBI single in the third inning and a two-run double in the fourth before capping his day off with an RBI triple in the sixth. Thomas struggled early in the year, but in 24 games since returning from a knee injury he's gone 27-for-94 (.287) with 13 extra-base hits and 18 RBI.

The 28-year-old outfielder took Ryne Nelson deep in the third inning to give the Nationals an early lead that quickly slipped away. Thomas doubled and scored a run in the first inning then added a solo home run in the third. The home run was Thomas' second in as many days, and he now has a nine-game hit streak dating back to June 6. Since returning from a knee injury May 27, Thomas is hitting .301 with four home runs and five stolen bases in 73 at-bats.
