CB Asher Allen's retirement after four seasons leaves the Vikings with a competition at CB. There remains four returning veteran CBs: Antoine Winfield, Chris Cook, Marcus Sherels and Brandon Burton, signed UFA Chris Carr, draft pick Josh Robinson and rookie FA Bobby Felder. Coach Leslie Frazier said the team will miss the depth Allen provided: "We want depth (and) competition in the secondary, and he definitely helped to provide that."
