Miamii receiver Chad Johnson won’t be confused with a marriage counselor anytime soon.

"If you pause Call of Duty for somebody, that's the (expletive) one,” he said of his favorite video game -- and wife.

That was just one of many classic quotes from the All-Pro personality that dominated Tuesday night’s premiere of HBO’s “Hard Knocks” series, the show gives an in-depth look at building an NFL team during training camp.

And Johnson wasn’t shy about opening up, especially regarding his disastrous season in New England last year.

"When I'm not doing well, she's actually the worst critic of them all," Johnson said of his wife Evelyn. "I didn't have sex the entire season last year because of my play. Well, when I scored a touchdown, well, she allowed me to score. But after that I went back on cobweb mode."

First-year coach Joe Philbin indicated he will tolerate most of Johnson’s personality, but put his foot down at the player’s use of vulgar language during a media session.

"We all have an obligation, we all have a responsibility,” Philbin said. “He needs to either fall in line or not. It's pretty simple."
