If you were sitting on a ticket involving the Buccaneers and Giants game Sunday you sweated it out bad at the end. And if you were holding a ticket on the under you suffered the ultimate stomach punch.

With 28 seconds left, Giants kicker Josh Brown booted a field goal to put the Giants up 26-18. The Bucs magically covering the +2.5 spread would ruin an under bet but by and large you were pretty safe. Just don't let Jameis Winston drive 80 yards in less than 30 seconds.

With six seconds remaining, the Bucs started to do the whole lateral thing hoping to "pull a Miami" even though such ridiculousness only happens once every decade or so.

Yup, just toss it around, lob it back to that lineman and ... OH NO.

The Bucs mangled the play in question, letting the ball land in a position where Trevin Wade couldn't NOT score when he picked the ball off the ground.

No extra point needed because there's no time left and the Giants are up 32-18 -- the Giants were required to run it but simply took a knee. Not that it mattered for those out there with tangential interests already setting their living rooms on fire.

There are bad beats and then there next-level, gut-wrenchingly horrible beats. This is one of the latter and it's the kind that only comes along every so often. Even if you stole a win with the over you shouldn't sleep well tonight.

The final play was bad for the Bucs and gamblers. (USATSI)
