Texans' Mario Edwards: In for larger role
Edwards is expected to start in place of Denico Autry, who will serve a six-game PED suspension to begin the Texans' 2024 campaign, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Edwards hasn't seen much of the field over the last three seasons, starting just nine games during that span, but he's set for a larger role now that Autry has been suspended. Last year, Edwards appeared in 15 games and played 392 defensive snaps for the Seahawks, posting 21 total tackles, including 2.0 sacks, and one forced fumble. He's now expected to line up alongside Danielle Hunter to begin the Texans' 2024 season.
