Strange (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Bills.
Strange was placed on the Patriots' reserve/PUP list at the start of the regular season due to a knee injury he suffered in December of 2023. He's managed to progress enough in his recovery to play Sunday, though it's unclear whether he'll start Sunday or serve in a depth role.

The Patriots activated Strange (knee) off the reserve/PUP list Tuesday.
Strange is one-step closer to making his return to the field for the first time since suffering a knee injury Week 15 last season. If the 2022 first-round pick manages to play Sunday versus the Cardinals, he would provide New England some much-needed help along the offensive line.

Patriots' Cole Strange: Won't return for Week 13
Strange (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Colts, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Strange was limited in practice all week, and he hasn't progressed enough in his recovery to return Sunday. He'll get additional rest following the Patriots' Week 14 bye, with Week 15 against the Cardinals on Sunday, Dec. 15 being his next opportunity to make his 2024 regular-season debut.

Patriots' Cole Strange: Limited in return
Strange (knee) was a limited participant during practice Wednesday, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.
Strange was designated to return from the reserve/PUP list earlier Wednesday, and this was his first practice session of any kind this season. So, it makes sense the team would take it slow with the 26-year-old. He'll have an opportunity to ramp up his activity level Thursday and Friday, before any determination for his status for Sunday's game against the Dolphins is likely given.

Strange (knee) has been designated to return from the reserve/PUP list Wednesday, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.
Strange has yet to play this season, as he recuperated from a torn patella tendon suffered toward the end of last year. His return to practice Wednesday will open a 21-day window for him before he needs to be placed on the 53-man roster.

Strange has sat out the entire season up to this point as he's recovered from a torn patella tendon he suffered near the end of last year, and there's still no concrete timetable for his return. With that said, there is still hope he'll be able to suit up at some point later in 2024.
