Mims caught his lone target for seven yards and carried the ball once for 17 yards in Sunday's 34-18 win over the Raiders.
Mims' seven-yard grab Sunday was just his third catch of the season as the second-year wideout continues to play a limited role in Denver's offense. The 22-year-old played just 12 of the Broncos' 63 offensive snaps in the contest, limiting his opportunities to have an impact. Mims played just 10 of the Broncos 61 offensive snaps Sunday, the least of any Denver wideout. Week 4 marked the first time Mims was not targeted by rookie quarterback Bo Nix in the passing game, and through four weeks, the second-year wideout has totaled two catches for 19 yards on four targets. Mims continues to be minimally involved in the Broncos' offense, as the speedy wideout has just two catches on four targets for 19 yards through the first three games of the 2024 campaign. Mims secured one of his two targets for 10 yards in Sunday's 13-6 loss to the Steelers.
Mims had another quiet game in Week 2, playing just nine of the Broncos' 61 offensive snaps against the Steelers. It appears the second-year wideout's involvement in the Denver's offense is not a priority for head coach Sean Payton, even though the Broncos are desperate for offensive playmaking. Mims is a speedster who can stretch the field, but rookie quarterback Bo Nix struggled to push the ball down the field in his first two regular season starts. The 22-year-old will continue to be difficult to trust for fantasy purposes when the Broncos visit the Buccaneers in Week 3.

Mims failed to secure his lone target in Sunday's 26-20 loss to the Seahawks.
Mims was a complete non-factor on offense Sunday, instead making his only contributions on special teams as a returner. The second-year wideout returned five punts for 47 yards and three kickoffs for 69 yards. Mims' lack of involvement in the passing attack carried over from his rookie season, in which head coach Sean Payton did not utilize him consistently. The speedster played just 12 of Denver's 69 offensive snaps, so his usage will need to come up if he can be considered for fantasy purposes. Mims will get his next chance to make an impact offensively when the Broncos host the Steelers in Week 2.

Broncos' Marvin Mims: Could see more opportunities
Mims is among the candidates to take on a larger role after Denver released Tim Patrick on Tuesday, DNVR Broncos reports.
Patrick, Courtland Sutton and Josh Reynolds took most of the first-team reps this summer, with Sean Payton favoring his tall, veteran receivers over quicker, younger players like Mims and Troy Franklin. Releasing Patrick is probably more about cap space than anything else, but it nonetheless reduces Mims' competition for playing time in his second NFL season. The 2023 second-round pick had four reception of 38 or more yards in Weeks 1-4 last season, but he then managed only 135 receiving yards over 12 subsequent games while topping 32 snaps on offense just once all year.
