Barron signed a two-year, $2.3 million contract with Montreal on Tuesday.
Barron accounted for seven goals, 13 points, 60 shots on net, 59 blocked shots and 61 hits across 48 regular-season contests with the Canadiens in 2023-24. He also had two tallies and 11 points in 32 regular-season outings with AHL Laval last campaign. The 22-year-old blueliner will compete for a depth spot on Montreal's roster during training camp.
