  • Dodgers' Chris Taylor: Drawing start against lefty

Taylor will start in left field and bat ninth in Monday's game against the Nationals, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Taylor will pick up his second start of the season, filling in left field for the left-handed-hitting Michael Conforto, who will head to the bench while the Nationals send southpaw MacKenzie Gore to the hill. Though he has the ability to play multiple spots in the infield and outfield, Taylor doesn't look as though he'll be assured a regular short-side platoon role; he didn't start in the Dodgers' previous two matchups with left-handers.

  • Dodgers' Chris Taylor: In lineup for Game 6

Taylor will start at second base and bat ninth for Game 6 of the NLCS against the Mets, Noah Camras of DodgersNation.com reports.

With Freddie Freeman (ankle) out of Sunday's lineup, Taylor will start at second base while Max Muncy and Enrique Hernandez man first and third base, respectively. Taylor started in Game 4 of the NLCS, during which he went 1-for-4 with one walk and one run scored.

  • Dodgers' Chris Taylor: Homers in Sunday's win

Taylor went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a walk in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Rockies.

Taylor started all three games at Colorado this weekend while the Dodgers rested some regulars. He went 6-for-10 with two steals over those contests, a rare productive stretch in a season that saw the utility man more frequently confined to the bench. Overall, he slashed .202/.298/.300 with four homers, 23 RBI, 28 runs scored and five steals across 246 plate appearances, which was his lightest workload over a full-length season since 2016.

  • Dodgers' Chris Taylor: Three hits, stolen base in win

Taylor went 3-for-3 with an RBI, a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's win over the Rockies.

Taylor didn't enter the game until the bottom of the fifth inning but wasted no time in making his presence felt, reaching on an infield single in his first at-bat before going on to steal second. He added two more singles while also driving in and scoring a run for the second straight game. Taylor has posted multiple hits in back-to-back contests and is now batting .325 (13-for-40) in September with six RBI and eight runs scored. The stolen base was his fifth on the season, and he's also swiped a bag in two straight.

  • Dodgers' Chris Taylor: Getting rare start

Taylor will start in left field and bat ninth in Wednesday's game against the Marlins.

Taylor will enter the lineup for just the seventh time since he was activated from the 10-day injured list Aug. 22. The 34-year-old will likely continue to see limited opportunities over the final week and a half of the season while the Dodgers' playoff positioning is not yet locked in.
