Myers allowed three runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out six batters over six innings in a no-decision against the Cubs on Saturday.
Myers came into Saturday having given up one or zero runs in four straight starts, all of which ended with his name in the win column. The right-hander couldn't extend the win streak Saturday, but he still pitched pretty well to notch his fourth quality start of the campaign. June was a breakout month for Myers, who was actually optioned to Triple-A on the first day of the month following a poor start against the White Sox on May 31. Since returning to the big club, he has gone 4-0 while posting a 1.44 ERA and 24:8 K:BB over 31.1 frames across five starts.

Myers is undefeated in June, going 4-0 with just two runs allowed over 25.1 innings across four starts. The 25-year-old right-hander has a 3.12 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 45:16 K:BB over 52 innings through 11 appearances (10 starts) this season. Sunday was the first time since May 31 that he didn't pitch past the fifth inning -- he exited with 78 pitches (56 strikes). He's tentatively lined up to make his next start at home versus the Cubs.

Myers rattled off his third consecutive quality start while matching his season high with the six strikeouts. The right-hander is quickly growing into a trusted starter for the Brewers amid the team's brutal run of injuries to pitchers. Myers has a 3.26 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 42:16 K:BB through 47 innings over 10 appearances (nine starts) this year. He doesn't stand out by most metrics, though he's been able to use his four-seam fastball, slider and changeup effectively so far. Myers is projected to make his next start on the road at San Diego.

The rookie right-hander has made two starts since he was recalled from Triple-A in late May, allowing just one run on four hits over 14 innings. The 25-year-old Myers has certainly made a case to stick in the Brewers rotation due to Joe Ross (back), Robert Gasser (elbow), Jakob Junis (shoulder) and DL Hall (knee) all being sidelined. He's currently lined up to face the Angels at home in his next outing.

Myers slotted into the rotation Friday and proceeded to deliver the best outing of his young big-league career, stymieing the Tigers over eight shutout innings while allowing just four baserunners and striking out five. Unsurprisingly, Myers will get another start on the heels of his big effort, and he could lengthen his leash in the rotation if he delivers another quality showing versus Toronto.

Myers lowered his ERA to 4.15 with a 1.24 WHIP and 32:13 K:BB across 34.2 innings in a swing role with Milwaukee this year. He figures to stick in the rotation for now due to Joe Ross (back), Robert Gasser (elbow), Jakob Junis (shoulder) and DL Hall (knee) all being on the IL.

Myers entered this start on a hot streak, firing a 1.93 ERA and 12:4 K:BB over 9.1 innings in his last three outings, but struggled against a weak White Sox lineup. He allowed just one homer -- a 417-foot solo shot to Paul DeJong -- but failed to reach multiple strikeouts in a start for the first time this season. The Brewers' rotation plans are murky, currently as DL Hall (knee) has been making rehab starts and could return soon. If Myers remains in the rotation for another start, it would come against the Phillies on the road next week.
