Bengals' Trey Hendrickson: Cleared to play Sunday
Hendrickson (neck) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Ravens and is expected to play, Brian Wacker of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Hendrickson was limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday but was able to log a full session Friday and is good to go for the AFC North clash. Through four games, 29-year-old Hendrickson has logged nine tackles (eight solo) -- including 3.0 sacks -- six QB hits and one pass breakup.

Bengals' Trey Hendrickson: Opens week as limited
Hendrickson (neck) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
Hendrickson suffered a neck stinger during the fourth quarter of the Bengals' Week 4 win over the Panthers. The 2017 third-round pick will have two more chances of increasing his practice participation ahead of Sunday's game against the Ravens. Through the first four games of the season, Hendrickson has tallied nine tackles (eight solo), including 3.0 sacks, and one pass defended.

Bengals' Trey Hendrickson: Suffers stinger vs. Panthers
Head coach Zac Taylor said after Sunday's 34-24 game against the Panthers that Hendrickson is dealing with a neck stinger, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
Hendrickson collided with teammate Sam Hubbard on a pass rush during the fourth quarter of Sunday's game. Hendrickson was able to walk off the field under his own power, but the injury does put his availability for Week 5 against the Ravens on Oct. 6 in jeopardy. The Bengals' first injury report Wednesday will provide some clarity on Hendrickson's status for that AFC North showdown.

Bengals' Trey Hendrickson: Won't return Sunday
Hendrickson has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Panthers due to a neck injury, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Hendrickson injured his neck on a pass-rush attempt in the fourth quarter. He was checked on by trainers for several minutes and was able to walk off the field under his own power. The severity of Hendrickson's injury should be clearer following the conclusion of Sunday's contest. Joseph Ossai and Cedric Johnson will see more snaps at defensive end opposite starter Sam Hubbard.

Hendrickson finished Sunday's 26-25 loss to Kansas City with four solo tackles, including 2.0 sacks.
Hendrickson didn't record a sack in Week 1 against the Patriots, but he more than made up for it in Week 2. Hendrickson's two sacks on Patrick Mahomes totaled 14 yards lost, and the former caused all sorts of problems for Chiefs' offensive line. Hendrickson and the Bengals will head back to Cincinnati to host 2024 No. 2 overall pick Jayden Daniels and the Commanders in Week 3.

Bengals' Trey Hendrickson: Returns to practice
Hendrickson (chest) returned to practice Wednesday, Chris Roling of USA Today reports.
Hendrickson missed the last week of practice due to a chest bruise, but the 29-year-old defensive end was back in pads for Wednesday's session. The 2017 third-round pick out of Florida Atlantic is coming off a career-best 17.5 sacks in 2023, and while he is seeking an extension, he has opted not to hold out during training camp. Hendrickson and the rest of the Bengals' starters should see the field for at least the first series of Saturday's preseason opener against the Buccaneers, per Geoff Hobson of the team's official site.

Bengals' Trey Hendrickson: Week-to-week with chest injury
Head coach Zac Taylor told reporters Thursday that Hendrickson is considered week-to-week due to a chest bruise, Tom Pelissero of NFL.com reports.
Hendrickson is coming off the most productive season of his career, finishing 2023 with 43 tackles (28 solo), including a career-high 17.5 sacks, along with three passes defended and three forced fumbles across 17 regular-season games. He requested a trade in April after not receiving a long-term extension from the Bengals, but he did not hold out of offseason workouts and is participating in training camp. His chest injury could keep him out of the Bengals' first preseason game against the Buccaneers on Aug. 10, but he could suit up against the Bears on Aug. 17.
