Pelicans' Jordan Hawkins: Team option picked up
The Pelicans announced Friday that they exercised the third-year option for 2025-26 on Hawkins' contract, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports.
Hawkins slowed down toward the end of his rookie year but still averaged 7.8 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 17.3 minutes across 67 regular-season appearances, including 10 starts, in 2023-24. However, Hawkins could see a slight reduction in his role this season due to the addition of Dejounte Murray.

Pelicans' Jordan Hawkins: Good to go for camp
Pelicans vice president of basketball operations David Griffin said Monday that Hawkins (ankle) is cleared for training camp, Erin Summers of Bally Sports New Orleans reports.
Hawkins picked up a right ankle injury during the final game of Summer League action, but X-rays were negative. That was back in July, so Hawkins being 100 percent ready for camp isn't a huge surprise. Hawkins showed some promise as a rookie, posting averages of 7.8 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.6 three-pointers in 67 regular-season games.

Pelicans' Jordan Hawkins: Won't return Saturday
Hawkins has been ruled out for the remainder of Saturday's Summer League game against the Nuggets due to a right ankle injury.
Hawkins underwent X-rays after sustaining the injury, which came back negative. Still, the Pelicans will refrain from putting the 22-year-old back into its final Summer League contest. Hawkins will finish the game with three points (0-3 FG, 3-4 FT) and a block across 11 minutes. It's unclear if the injury will impact Hawkins' availability for training camp.

Pelicans' Jordan Hawkins: Unproductive night in loss
Hawkins finished with three points (1-3 FG, 1-2 3Pt) and one rebound over 15 minutes during Monday's 124-111 loss to the Suns.
Since the All-Star break, the 21-year-old has averaged 3.7 points and 1.1 rebounds on 28.2 percent from the field. This is a serious decline from before the break, when Hawkins averaged 9.6 points and 2.7 rebounds in 20.1 minutes, nearly doubling his recent playing time. The Pelicans are fighting to stay out of the Play-In Tournament and with Jose Alvarado (oblique) anticipated to return soon, Hawkins is not expected to be a viable fantasy option nearing the end of the season.

Pelicans' Jordan Hawkins: Recalled from G League
The Pelicans recalled Hawkins from the G League's Birmingham Squadron on Wednesday.
The Pelicans wanted Hawkins to get some reps with Birmingham to stay sharp, as he's had a limited role at the NBA level in his last several outings.

Pelicans' Jordan Hawkins: Wakes up with 14 points
Hawkins supplied 14 points (4-17 FG, 3-12 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one block in 23 minutes during Friday's 106-95 loss to the Heat.
After distinguishing himself as a valuable backup during CJ McCollum's absence earlier in the season, Hawkins fell off the map as a fantasy prospect. Hawkins' 14 points marked his first double-digit total in almost seven weeks, a stretch during which he struggled to see more than 10 minutes of court time consistently. Unless a serious backcourt injury occurs, a resurgence for Hawkins is unlikely.
