Cavaliers' Evan Mobley: Should return after All-Star break
Cavaliers head coach Kenny Atkinson said Wednesday that Mobley (calf) should return to action "right after the All-Star break," Danny Cunningham of Sports Radio 92.3 The Fan Cleveland reports.
Mobley has missed the Cavaliers' last seven games after he strained his left calf in the team's Jan. 26 win over the Magic. The fifth-year big man -- who previously missed five games in December after suffering a Grade 1 strain of the same calf -- is seemingly making good progress in his recovery following his latest setback. If he's able to resume practicing following the break, he could be ready to play in the Cavaliers' first game of the second half Feb. 19 versus the Nets. Mobley's impending return could result in Thomas Bryant falling out of the rotation along with Jarrett Allen, Jaylon Tyson and Keon Ellis seeing at least slight reductions in playing time.

Cavaliers' Keon Ellis: Logs 27 minutes in win
Ellis chipped in six points (2-4 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal across 27 minutes during Wednesday's 138-113 win over Washington.
Ellis logged 27 minutes Wednesday, the most he has played since joining the Cavaliers. While he has provided the team with consistent defensive contributions off the bench, his playing time has been largely underwhelming. With that said, he is worth keeping an eye on, particularly if he can carve out a regular 25-minute role for himself, given his defensive upside.

Cavaliers' Dennis Schroder: Limited off bench again
Schroder produced seven points (1-5 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one block over 18 minutes during Wednesday's 138-113 victory over the Wizards.
Schroder continues to serve as a backup option, playing fewer than 20 minutes for the third time in the past four games since arriving in Cleveland. Even in starter-level minutes, Schroder has never really been a consistent fantasy asset. Given his current role, he is far from a must-roster player, outside of deeper formats.

Merrill generated 32 points (11-12 FG, 9-10 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block across 25 minutes of Wednesday's 138-113 win over the Wizards.
Merrill set a career high in points and surpassed his previous season high by 10 points. He tied his career high in three-point makes as well. Merrill isn't a high-usage player, but he has the ability to drain three-pointers on any given night. Through 31 appearances this season, Merrill is averaging 13.6 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists across 25.4 minutes.

Allen faced down Nikola Jokic and put together a solid number, although the former MVP was able to hang a triple-double in a losing effort. In either case, Allen will be set up for success during the upcoming matchup against the Wizards on Wednesday.

Mitchell racked up 32 points (11-23 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 7-8 FT), one rebound, 10 assists, two blocks and two steals across 34 minutes during Monday's 119-117 victory over the Nuggets.
The new duo of Mitchell and James Harden powered the Cavaliers to another dramatic win, rallying back from an 11-point deficit in the fourth quarter. The only knock on Mitchell's game currently is a poor streak of performances beyond the arc, but his work inside the perimeter has more than made up for that inconsistency. The veteran has averaged 32.0 points per game over the last three contests.

Harden chipped in 22 points (7-16 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 6-6 FT), 10 rebounds, seven assists and three blocks across 36 minutes during Monday's 119-117 victory over Denver.
Harden was a key element in a late rally that erased Denver's 11-point lead in the fourth quarter. The veteran posted another excellent number in his second game with the Cavaliers, and he managed his second-highest rebound total of the season to acquire his 13th double-double of the 2025-26 campaign.
