  • Steelers' Tre Norwood: Returns to practice Wednesday

Norwood (calf) was in full pads for Wednesday's practice, Alan Saunders of Steelers Now reports.

Norwood missed about 10 days of action with the right calf issue. A seventh-round pick in 2021, Norwood has appeared in 32 games for the Steelers over the last two seasons, making six starts and being a fixture on special teams.

  • Steelers' Tre Norwood: Injured during practice

Norwood left practice early Sunday due to a lower-body injury, Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Norwood limped off the field, but further details are unknown. However, the 24-year-old did deal with a hamstring injury last season. He'll now work to get healthy in order to return to the field and earn a spot on the Steelers' 53-man roster.

  • Steelers' Tre Norwood: Healthy at OTAs

Norwood (hamstring) is healthy and participating in the Steelers' OTAs, Chris Adamski of the Tribune-Review reports.

Norwood missed the final two games of the 2022 campaign with a hamstring injury, but he appears to have moved past the issue early in the offseason. The 2021 seventh-round pick saw a major defensive role for a few weeks last year, but he operated primarily on special teams over his final eight appearances.

  • Steelers' Tre Norwood: Unavailable Sunday

Norwood is listed as out for Sunday's game against the Browns.

Norwood will now be sidelined for a second consecutive matchup due to the hamstring issue that's caused him to miss two practices this week. The second-year pro has primarily been limited to a special-teams role since Week 7, so his absence isn't expected to alter Pittsburgh's defensive game plan.

  • Steelers' Tre Norwood: Out for Week 17

Norwood (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Ravens, Mike DeFabo of The Athletic reports.

After failing to partake in any of Pittsburgh's three practices this week due to a hamstring concern, Norwood will ultimately miss his second matchup of the season come New Year's Day. The second-year pro likely wouldn't have received many defensive snaps anyways given his role as a strict special-teams contributor this year, along with the return of fellow safety Terrell Edmunds (hamstring) this weekend.

  • Steelers' Tre Norwood: Misses Wednesday's practice

Norwood (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday, Chris Halicke of DKPittsburghSports.com reports.

Norwood wasn't included on Wednesday's practice report due to an error, while Cameron Sutton was incorrectly listed as a non-participant. After Norwood was forced out of Saturday's win over the Raiders with a hamstring issue, his lack of participation is unsurprising. It remains to be seen if he will be available Week 17 versus Baltimore.

Norwood left Saturday's victory over the Raiders with a hamstring injury.

Norwood was deemed questionable to return after being injured in the first half, but he was unable to make it back on the field. It remains to be seen if Norwood will miss any further action.

  • Steelers' Tre Norwood: Likely starting against Buffalo

Norwood is expected to start in Sunday's contest against Buffalo, Mike DeFabo of The Athletic reports.

With Terrell Edmunds (concussion) sidelined due to a concussion, Norwood is expected to start as the Steelers' strong safety. The 23-year-old has logged nine tackles (six solo) through four games this season.
