Lions' Jack Campbell: Secures seven tackles in blowout
Campbell recorded seven total tackles (one solo) in Sunday's 47-9 victory over the Cowboys.
Campbell was once again busy in Week 6, finishing tied for the team lead in takedowns with cornerback Amik Robertson against Dallas. Campbell played 73 percent of the team's defensive snaps, which is close to his typical workload now that he's established himself as the team's primary left outside linebacker. Through five games in 2024, the 24-year-old has produced 31 total tackles (15 solo) and a forced fumble.

Lions' Jack Campbell: Picks up seven tackles in win
Campbell recorded seven tackles (six solo) and one forced fumble in the Lions' win over the Seahawks on Monday night.
After playing 100 percent of the defensive snaps in Week 3 against Arizona, Campbell played just 68 percent of the downs versus Seattle, which is more in line with his 56 and 73 percent snap shares from Weeks 1 and 2, respectively. The 18th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Campbell has 24 tackles (14 solo), including four TFLs, and the one forced fumble through four games.

Lions' Jack Campbell: Six tackles in loss
Campbell recorded six total tackles (four solo) in Sunday's 20-16 loss to Tampa Bay.
Campbell saw his usage increase in Week 2, playing 35 of the team's 48 defensive snaps after playing only 58 percent of the snaps in Week 1. As a result, he finished tied for the team lead in takedowns with safety Brian Branch. The linebacker has now compiled 13 total tackles (six solo) over the team's first two games of the 2024 season.

Lions' Jack Campbell: Strong rookie season
Campbell recorded 95 tackles, 2.0 sacks and one pass defended over 17 regular-season games in 2023.
Campbell seemed ticketed for a starting job alongside Alex Anzalone after Detroit spent a first-round pick on Campbell, an off-ball linebacker, in the 2023 NFL Draft. While 2021 fourth-rounder Derrick Barnes opened the year in the starting lineup, both Campbell and Barnes ended the season having logged around 60 percent of the defensive snaps, and Campbell joined Anzalone in the starting lineup for 11 of the final 12 games while Barnes started only eight of those contests (while missing one game to injury). Thanks in part to a larger role on special teams, Campbell ultimately averaged half of a tackle more per game than Barnes along with one more sack and a pass breakup. With plenty of room to grow from a playing-time standpoint combined with Barnes entering the final year of his contract, the 23-year-old Campbell is a strong bet to be in Detroit's long-term plans and is a realistic candidate to have a bigger role entering his second season in the league.
