Bulls' Zach Collins: Not playing until Saturday
Head coach Billy Donovan said Tuesday that Collins (not injury related), Tre Jones and Kevin Huerter will not play until Saturday against the Warriors at the earliest, Cody Westerlund of 670TheScore.com reports.
Collins has not made his Bulls' debut since being traded from the Spurs on Sunday. He won't play in Chicago's next two games, and if he's not traded before Thursday's deadline, he should be available to take the floor Saturday. Collins played just 7.2 minutes per game with the Spurs since Dec. 29 while serving in a deep rotational role at center. If he sticks around in Chicago, Collins' playing time will be directly impacted by whether Nikola Vucevic is still around after the trade deadline.

Bulls' Zach Collins: Chicago debut won't happen Tuesday
Collins won't make his Bulls debut Tuesday against the Heat, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
Collins was among the many players involved in the three-team trade between the Bulls, Spurs and Kings. Unfortunately, the veteran big man's debut with Chicago won't happen Tuesday against the Heat, and there's a chance he could get flipped elsewhere in another deal before the Thursday afternoon trade deadline, putting his status for Wednesday's game in Minnesota in jeopardy.

Bulls' Zach Collins: Could make Bulls debut Tuesday
Collins (recently traded) is not listed on the injury report for Tuesday's game against the Heat.
Collins was involved in Sunday's three-team trade that was centered around De'Aaron Fox going to the Spurs and Zach LaVine heading to the Kings. Collins, Kevin Huerter and Tre Jones were sent to Chicago as part of the transaction, and all three may make their Bulls debut Tuesday. Collins' playing outlook in Chicago currently looks about the same as it did in San Antonio, but he could move into a more meaningful role in the rotation if Nikola Vucevic is moved prior to Thursday's trade deadline.

Bulls' Zach Collins: Bound for Chicago
The Bulls acquired Collins, guards Kevin Huerter and Tre Jones and a 2025 first-round pick Sunday in a three-team deal involving the Spurs and Kings, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Sacramento will receive guards Zach LaVine (personal) and Sidy Cissoko, first-round picks in 2025, 2027 and 2031, and three second-round picks, while San Antonio will receive guards De'Aaron Fox and Jordan McLaughlin. Collins had opened the season as the top backup to starting center Victor Wembanyama, but he had largely been out of the rotation since mid-December. While Collins' outlook for playing time in Chicago won't be much more favorable at the moment, he could move into the rotation if the Bulls move starting center Nikola Vucevic elsewhere prior to Thursday's trade deadline.

Spurs' Zach Collins: Re-enters rotation Sunday
Collins tallied zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one turnover while committing three fouls across seven minutes in Sunday's 112-110 loss to the Timberwolves.
Collins saw his first action since Dec. 8, after he had missed the Spurs' subsequent two contests with a bilateral lower-back contusion before being cleared to return but subsequently getting held out of the rotation in five straight contests. The Spurs made room for Collins on Sunday by deploying a three-man rotation at center, with he and Charles Bassey (five minutes) stepping in when Victor Wembanyama (36 minutes) was off the court. Collins could eventually wrest the top backup job back from Bassey, but neither will hold much fantasy appeal so long as Wembanyama is available to handle his usual allotment of minutes.

Spurs' Zach Collins: Available to play Thursday
Collins (back) is available for Thursday's game against the Hawks, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports.
Collins will add some much-needed depth behind Victor Wembanyama at center, but he's not expected to have a big role in most fantasy formats. Collins is averaging just 4.4 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game when coming off the bench this season (20 appearances).

Spurs' Zach Collins: Iffy for Thursday
Collins (back) is questionable for Thursday's game against Atlanta, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports.
Collins has missed the past two games for the Spurs, but he remains day-to-day. If he's unable to return, Charles Bassey and Sandro Mamukelashvili will be the candidates to see increased workloads.

Spurs' Zach Collins: Doubtful to feature Sunday
Collins (back) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Timberwolves, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports.
The doubtful tag suggests Collins isn't expected to play Sunday, which would represent a second straight absence for the former Gonzaga star. Charles Bassey will likely see an uptick in playing time behind Victor Wembanyama if Collins ends up being sidelined.

Collins (back) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Timberwolves, independent NBA writer Matthew Tynan reports.

Collins (back) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Trail Blazers, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports.

Spurs' Zach Collins: Won't return Sunday
Collins has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Pelicans with a back injury, independent NBA writer Matthew Tynan reports. He'll finish the game with two points (1-2 FG) and three rebounds across three minutes.
The big man replaced Victor Wembanyama (back) after the latter left for the locker room early in the first quarter, though Collins contested a shot and fell hard on his back just three minutes into his appearance. With Wembanyama questionable to return and Collins already ruled out, Charles Bassey is the next man up at center for San Antonio.

Spurs' Zach Collins: Goes to locker room Sunday
Collins checked out of Sunday's game against the Pelicans in the first quarter after an apparent back injury following a hard fall, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports.
The big man entered the game for Victor Wembanyama (back) after he went back to the locker room. Shortly after, Collins contested a shot and fell hard on his back with 5:56 remaining in the first quarter. With Collins and Wembanyama both in the locker room, Jeremy Sochan, Keldon Johnson and Charles Bassey will be expected to pick up the slack.

Spurs' Zach Collins: Shifting to bench
Collins will come off the bench Sunday against the Pelicans, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports.
Collins will revert to his usual bench role following the clearance of Victor Wembanyama, who missed the team's last two matchups due to back soreness. Collins is averaging 2.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 12.0 minutes over his last six appearances as a reserve.

Spurs' Zach Collins: Starting vs. Sacramento
Collins is in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Kings.
The Spurs will be without Victor Wembanyama (back) for this contest, and they'll go with Collins at center over Jeremy Sochan, perhaps to counter the physicality of Domantas Sabonis on the boards. Collins is averaging 6.2 points and 3.4 rebounds per game this season.

Spurs' Zach Collins: Ejected from Friday's game
Collins was ejected from Friday's game against the Kings, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports.
Collins received two technical fouls in quick succession in the second quarter of Friday's game and was ejected from the contest as a result. He'll end the night with two points, two rebounds and one assist over nine minutes. Jeremy Sochan -- who started at center against the Suns on Wednesday -- will likely get more run time with the starters, and Charles Bassey should also see an uptick in minutes off the bench.

Spurs' Zach Collins: Held scoreless in loss
Collins notched zero points (0-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and one steal across 14 minutes during Tuesday's 104-93 loss to the Suns.
As long as Victor Wembanyama is upright, Collins is a tough sell outside of very deep fantasy formats. He's averaging 14.5 minutes per contest this season, but he's a viable streamer whenever Wembanyama is forced to miss a game.

Spurs' Zach Collins: Returns to bench Saturday
Collins is not starting Saturday against the Warriors.
Collins will return to the bench due to Victor Wembanyama's (knee) return, and the veteran should operate as Wembanyama's primary backup. When playing off the bench this season, he's averaging 5.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 0.3 blocks per game.

Collins (knee) is available for Thursday's game versus the Jazz, independent NBA writer Matthew Tynan reports.
Collins has been upgraded from questionable to available Thursday despite dealing with left knee tendinitis. With Victor Wembanyama (knee) out, Collins should draw a third straight start against Utah.
