Bills' Matt Milano: Placed on IR
The Bills placed Milano (biceps) on IR and designated him to return Tuesday.
Milano was diagnosed with a torn biceps Aug. 15, and he will likely miss a majority of the 2024 campaign. The veteran linebacker will be eligible to return at some point during the season, but his absence will provide increased snaps for Terrel Bernard, Dorian Williams and Nicholas Morrow.

Bills' Matt Milano: Diagnosed with torn biceps
Milano has been diagnosed with a torn biceps and will undergo surgery with the hope of returning late in the 2024 season, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Schefter suggests that returning in December might be a reasonable goal for Milano, whose 2023 campaign ended Week 5 when he suffered a fractured leg. The linebacker worked his way back to full health and had been participating in training camp without limitations, but he's now set to miss a majority of his age-30 season, leaving more snaps at linebacker available for Dorian Williams and Nicholas Morrow (groin). Terrel Bernard appears locked in for an every-down role and is Buffalo's best IDP option at the position.

Bills' Matt Milano: Past leg issue
General manager Brandon Beane told reporters that Milano will participate fully in Wednesday's practice, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
Milano fractured his leg during Week 5 of the Bills' 2023 campaign, but it now appears as if he's moved past the issue. The veteran linebacker is an integral part of Buffalo's defense, and he's expected to remain one of the team's top inside linebackers now that he's returned from injury.

Bills' Matt Milano: Limited at minicamp
Coach Sean McDermott said Milano (leg) will be limited at Tuesday's practice, Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News reports.
Milano is working his way back from a right leg fracture, and while McDermott said earlier this offseason that it likely won't be until training camp that he participates in drills, it's encouraging to see the veteran already practicing in a limited capacity. The standout linebacker appears on a good track to be ready for Week 1 of the 2024 season, barring any setbacks.
